Sunday 10
I can believe that deep in my glutes are actually sore just from a little bit of jumping around with less
than 5 lbs in my hands. If I do another round with the dvd it wont be until later tonight, if at all.
Monday 11
Went to lunch with my grandma and mom. Bought some Jojoba oil and got a book from the library but once I was home I took a nap. I woke up long enough to shower and have some chobani before my migraine took over and I went to bed.
Tuesday 12
Went to BJs with my grandma then took my brother to the potter league to look at the dogs. I let him drive my car a bit on some side roads too.
Wednesday 13
Let my brother drive again today then went to dinner with him and my Dad. Then we had a fire in the backyard. Read more than half of my book in bed too.
Thursday 14
Woke up ay 1! Showered and went to middletown to tan and to get a poster board for my brother. Then my friend came over. Finished the rest of my book after she left.

Went to the grocery store to buy muscle milk, chobani greek yogurt and a raw food bar. Ate too many carbs between breakfast and lunch but I guess that’s when they should be taken in anyways. Did 25 minutes of my Jillian DVD and really felt it. Burnt a little less than 200 calories so that lessened the damage a bit so I wont feel as guilty if I go out to dinner tonight.
I cant believe I have fallen back to level one of my little ranking system I created for myself. Last time I checked I was at level four. I haven’t been down to level one since November! Basically there are 20 levels that I created and all have a balance of total weight, muscle mass, fat mass, body fat percentage but my mood and how I look in the mirror also play a part in the levels. I was really bored babysitting one napping toddler so I thought all this up as a way of measuring improvements without saying just, “Hey I am down 3 lbs!” Because I would sure hate it if I lost 3 lbs of muscle from not lifting regularly. Well I guess thats what happened and here we go again. I guess I come to round two with more information and the importance of keeping up with my weight training and getting all the food experimenting done with and found what I am happy with.

Woke up an hour earlier today and went right to Barnes and noble to get a Jillian Michaels DVD. Cheaper than a gym membership! Spent the day at my grandmothers so I didn’t get home in time to do it. My mom came home from work early and started watching her shows so I couldn’t use the DVD player. Today even with the marshmallow and oatmeal square treats I really needed to focus on eating more. I wasn’t hungry today at all, probably from the inactivity from the past few days. Tomorrow we are cleaning out the basement so that should be a lot of functional lifting. In the morning I am going to my job to tell them when I will be back to start work in June.

Woke up at 11 and chilled on the couch for an hour. I weighed in today 110.6, high fat and low muscle. But I felt like I looked great in my bathroom mirror. The behind is looking a little, um lower than usual because I’ve lost about 3 lbs of muscle from there but everything else looked fine. My legs are bruised from lifting the fridge and totes yesterday. Aha moment, I am 2 inches taller than I was 8 or 9 months ago and I looked it up and 2 inches equates to about 6 or 7 lbs more total weight. Bingo, I’ve gained almost exaclty that and still look the same as I did pre-college. Of course I did gain a few pounds of puffy fat that is a given when eating at the dinning commons but now I feel better knowing I can look the same at 5′5 and 22 lbs of fat as I did at 5′3 and 18 lbs of fat.
Baked a cookie, cake type thing with no flour. Eggs, Chobani, Tons of protein powder and some fiber. Haven’t had a piece yet but the nutrition calculates out to be a great snack. Had a great breakfast and a sort of indugle-ish lunch of fatty fries and chicken but fat is still at 30 grams. I am very confident in being able to eat high protein and low carbs, healthy natural foods now that I am free of the dining commons.

Woke up with the guy. Went to my dorm and was sad/upset to pack and go home. Took my anatomy exam and suddenly felt great. Met up with the guy a last time and then proceeded to lug every part of my life out of my dorm and into my dads van. What a work out that was! Throwing around my mini-fridge and brim-filled totes up and down two flights of stairs countless times. My back, legs and biceps are going to be screaming tomorrow! I didn’t realize that I didn’t eat until 1 pm and I wasn’t even actually hungry. Got home and unpacked and set up my room then kind of just chilled out for the rest of the night. The moving around and car ride got me real tired so I went to be pretty early. Bruises are already starting to show up on my legs from carrying the crates.

10 am to 10 pm - all anatomy studying. Talked on the phone to Rachel for a little less than 2 hours which were nice breaks but 12 hours of studying and more than 100 note cards later! I studied more today than I have in the past 3 or 4 weeks combined!
I also made it to the gym this morning! Did legs and a bit of chest. Took less than an hour because the gym was so empty. The workout made me carb hungry before bed though.

Today I was excited to jump out of bed and have breakfast. After my class I went on the elliptical for a whole hour! I’ve never done that before and burned 480 calories. I used a different performance program which held a steady resistance 7 and built up to incline 16 of 20! I had never gone above 10 before today. I felt great after and I still do 5 hours later.
For this week I am giving up on goal pounds and micro managing fats, carbs and protein. I just want to maintain the habit of eating no direct carbs and mostly animal proteins. Of course now that it is warmer I naturally feel more active and have been walking around a lot more. During these last days of classes and finals week I still want to have time to sleep and rise early to lift some weights!
I spent the rest of my day cutting, gluing and painting. I had a healthy breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner today so I feel very well fueled for leg day tomorrow, but I feel light and fit too. I have also cleared a lot of stuff out of my room today in preperation for moving twice in 2 weeks! Got rid of some generations old, unworn clothes and some empty boxes and random papers from the beginning of the semester.

Headache last night put me to bed pretty early. I slept in until 3, missing an anatomy quiz and a final review. My friend got me the review packet and I will have to take a make-up quiz for anatomy after class on Monday. I can’t believe next week is the last week of classes! Freshman year went by so fast. I found out last night that my dad will be getting me on Tuesday of finals week. So everything can fit into his van! I’ll have to move my Wednesday final to Monday and tell my job that I’ll be back to start work on Wednesday, even if it is only for 10 or so days. That’s still between 200 and 400 bucks! It is so nice out today but my head still hurts. I skipped breakfast because I was sleeping and my lunch was a coffee and some aspirin. Dinner will be tonight at 10 pm, marking the end of my first 24 hour fast. Chobani with 2 scoops of rice protein and some chopped pineapple pieces. Also I want to go tanning on Monday if it is bad weather but I have to do a 200 calorie cardio workout first. I am only 6 hours away from finishing my first fast.
Made it 22 hours into my fast and had 2 servings of seed crackers and a serving of dark chocolate dreams. Tried to make a protein shake and it turned out gross because I added too much rice protein. The I tired to make protein oatmeal and still added too much protein. Threw them both away and brushed my teeth. No more food for the rest of the night. Not sure if I want my second fast to be right after the first one. Depends on if I workout tomorrow. If I do decide to fast tomorrow, it started tonight at 9 pm.

Day 1 - Wednesday
Walked to campus empty, had breakfast and had a very busy day. Depo shot made my arm very sore. That plus being rough last night made me extremely tired. Early bed time!
Day 2 - Thursday
Lost more than a pound of muscle and gained more than a pound of fat in 3 days. The muscle loss could be the creatine getting out of my system, but true muscle loss is likey. Not sure what to think about 1.4 pound of fat gain. Just another punch in the gut that things really have to change radically. Had a hard time getting out of bed. Eggs and a bagel today for breakfast, no English muffins were available but I guess I could have had half. I am going to edit this program a little bit. Here are the rules pulled forward from the past month;
While my metabolism is officially slowed back to my pre-bulk hunger levels, I hope it hasn’t dipped below that. I haven’t done chest or back in 23 days, haven’t done Legs in 12 days and haven’t done arms in 11 days. Wtf!? My numbers are staying the same, I need to add strength training back into my life.
As far as this whole plan goes, I am not going to consider week 1 part of my diet at all. If I gain fat this week, it will be enough to disreguard my loss in week 2 and completely restart a 4 week plan of attack. For this last (maybe) week, I want to up my protein to where it was in week 1, closer to 140 grams than 100. And I really, really have to watch my carbs. Anything above 70 is just unhelpful and anything about 50 is maintenance. I have been having around 45 g of fat a day and this also has to come back down. I finished off the almonds and the peanuts so my main fat source in the room in the peanut butter. No more processed foods in the dc. Just protein and veggies! I had a sausage egg and cheese yesterday so I have to fast 2 days total (2 full 24 hours periods) before next Wednesday. Tonight I’ll make sure to get my 120 grams of protein so that tomorrow I can start my first day of fasting. As of this afternoon I was completely carb-loaded so I will have enough energy and strength to do so without any negative physical effects.
