If Religion was gone from out society and culture, nothing extremely drastic or long term would happen. People since the begining of time have always needed a spiritual escape of guidance from some greater unknown. Eventually, without religion people would start looking inside themselves for a spiritual escape. Now there are already thousands of people who meditate, visualize and find motivation and power within themselves.
