So I have been trying to manage my time with working out, work, and school. Today is the beginning of my Fall Semester for Grad School. This semester is also my midpoint review, which is when I present my thesis project. I have 3 classes that are going to take up most of my time. I still work at the gym so at least I don’t really have an excuse for not going to the gym.
My plan is to get back in shape. I am at 150 pounds and this is how much I weighed during undergrad, so I am not to thrilled. I want to lose fat and replace it with muscle. My plan is to workout MWF just so that I can get back into the hang of things. I will be doing a full body workout so that I can exert more energy which will help me lose fat. I am also trying to run at least 2 miles on MWF for my cardio. I want to be in the range of 130 to 135 pounds. I know its not going to be easy considering my eating habits, but I will work on it. I need more protein in my diet so I was considering taking protein as a supplement. I am trying to be consistent with my multivitamin pills.
I don’t plan to purchase any new pairs of jeans until I lose some weight.
Wish me luck

So, My first year in California is almost over and its been fun. I’ve been bus with Grad School that I neglected to get on a workout regimen. I mean I have been running off and on. Trying to stay focused, it was harder in the fall, but this spring I have been to the gym and running on the treadmill a lot more and trying some workout routines. So here is my plan of action to get in shape:
My goal is to lose 20 lbs.
I am going to follow the Nike + train for a 5K workout. Bring up my mileage and run faster miles.
I plan to run on Monday, wednesday, and friday, also possibly a 2 mile run on a saturday if I am up to it.
My weight training days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I have looked at a few Oxygen articles and articles off of this site to get ideas.
I need to change my diet. I want to try eating clean. Luckily I live near a Whole Foods. So I am able to get fresh fruit and food without hormones and such added in to it. It will be hard because I am living on a grad school student pay which is not much.
I bought detox tea which I plan to do once a week to clean the toxins out of my body. I am also taking multi-vitamin to help get all the nutrients and minerals I am lacking. I am also going to start taking a fat burner. To help my diet and exercise.
So I will take progress pictures every two weeks, starting the first weekend in May. So by July 4th my plan is to have lost the weight.

So I decided to blog to let anyone who reads this know whats going on with me, my lack of working out, and I guess my body…
Me : I am moving to California in about 13 days. I am moving there for grad school and to start a new chapter in my life. So I blame that on the reason I haven’t worked out in the past month…lol..I know an excuse I can only blame myself for that one. I did make time to see Incubus twice this but whatever they are my favorite band
) I love working out and sweating and seeing results. I have a slight obsession with workout tapes and not the usual boring ones. The DVDs and VHS Tapes I have right now are The New York Ballet workout 1 & 2, Zumba, Hula, Belly Dance, Pilates, Crunch workouts….and thats it for now…I also love yoga and their is this awesome website that has new yoga classes everyday for free. Its www.yogatoday.com , it is awesome if I actually do it.
Lack of working out: I don’t know the weather has been wierd lately and I haven’t ran in a few weeks…let alone gone to the gym. I have a membership to the Y in Dover..its not a bad gym it just bothers me that the free weights, cardio, and nautilaus machines are all in this one room crammed together….So I think that is what bothers me right…but i have to cancel that membership since I will be leaving good ole Delaware soon. I think I just lost motivation…but hopefully that will all change soon.
My body: Growing up in this world where woman have to deal with having the media portray these thin rail girls…its a bit annoying so when I came to this website I was so proud to see woman trying to gain muscle…For me I want to lose fat to gain muscle… I want to be about 125 to 130 lbs, and than progress to producing some muscle… I think the best thing for me to do right now is increase(start) cardio to 5 to 6 days a week and use pilates and yoga for flexibility and muscle tone until I find a gym out in Cali and test out my schools gym as well
) I’m going to an art school so this will be interesting as far as the usage of the gym…an what equipment they have and such…
starting monday I am going to try and start this running program and go from their I know it is probably going to be a little rough only because I will be moving and transitioning to the time change and monstrous hills in san francisco.
Thats it for now…
