week of 22 thru 26

this week i saw muscle growth and some fat loss.  Good week.  But my calfs ache from calf raises.

weekend report

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

Tuesday was all barbells day.  Incorporated some ab and shoulder work as well.  Wednesday and thursday were off days.  Thursday i did a little cardio with Wii boxing but I really was too sore to do much of anything.  Tuesday took more out of me than I thought.  Friday I worked the chest and shoulders.  A little bit of tricep, back and shoulder.  Saturday I did some back work, a little ab, and a little bicep.  Lots of leg and cardio to get the blood pumping.  I cut back on eating so much because I was feeling nautious from eating all the time.  My overall muscle development is coming along.  the muscles look more toned.  you can see the shapes of them through the skin.  I want to shed some more fat around my midsection so I can see the definition on my midsection but It’s slow going.  I am pretty pleased at the progress I am making despite not losing two pounds of weight.  It appears as though my body is replacing the fat with lean muscle mass at a ratio where I lose more fat than I gain lean muscle mass.  But thats to be expected.  I appear really skinny like that tommy davidson guy from in living color when he would take his shirt off.  I REALLY LOOK TOO SKINNY!

Heavy weekend

Lots of shoulder this past weekend.  Today is an off day.  As far as diet goes I am trying to avoid consuming too much cholesterol, sugar, caffeine, and overeating in general.  kinda hard to do when you are trying to gain weight.

Too long of a break

WHoa!  didn’t go to the gym since sunday.  I feel like I haven’t gone to the gym in forever!  Can’t skip three days anymore.  Too much rest.

Feb 6

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

I"m starting to tire of eating like a horse so I ate less meals today.  I had been eating close to every two or three hours in the last seven days.  Today’s workout was mainly chest and shoulder.  I started the workout with a five minute intense bike workout and followed it with tricep pulldowns.  Squats were painful and my wrist hurts from clean and jerks with the trainer.  My hip hurts too.  My lesson learned was that new exercises should be done wit caution.  I had a hard time holding the bench press today as well.  SO I skipped incline and decline also.  I mainly stuck to butterfly variations, curls, moved to pullup and dip supersets after doing some ab crunch machine sets.  I ended the day with a ten minute treadmill jog.  I was feeling empty inside but not tired.  SO i drank a cytogainer shake and skipped the multivitamin and the sizeon today as well.  I figure its good to change up the supplements every once in a while.  The cytogainer has whey peptides in it which was great for the muscles.  it also had some much needed glutamine.

personal trainer

last night I had trouble sleeping again, problably just anxiety.  Today i had a bit of a change in my workout.  A personal trainer helped me with a new routine for shoulders. It took longer than I thought but was worth signing up for.

Rest day again

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Another rest day.  Last night I had a hard time staying asleep which resulted in a wrecked day.  My diet was off, my sleep cycle thrown, and my recuperation time delayed.  Today i spent much of the day trying to keep what I have gained so far and allow my systems to readjust.
