Changed my workouts about two weeks ago. The new program came from Muscle Magazine. It is pretty much hell on the back and wasn’t really well thought out, in my opinion. I have tweaked it a little to compensate for what I thought was ridiculously ill-timed recovery and workout splits. The workout as printed is too time consuming and works you like a flesh eating bacteria. Another con is the harshness on the wrists. Half the workout relies on barbells. But the results are slowly showing, and I am happy with that. Skinnies Rule.

Man… Its been a rough month! I had to go to the union hall like four and five days a week fo the apprentice competition training. The training schedule sucks and it took away my entire life for the month of August. I haven’t gone to the gym except every other weekend. I bought some REALMASS and am preparing for a bulk cycle beginning mid september. If you go to Landmark Bally’s and are reading this, you are so lame and need to stop cyberstalking me. Just say hi, I don’t bite.

I started a membership at Bally’s near my new place. I go there like three or four times a week and i like it so far. The people are great and there is so much more to do there. Profitness kind sucked to tell you the truth. Oh well, the world isn’t a perfect place.

I moved up to Northern Virginia! So the new gym is taking a while to get used to. Lost motivation during the move but I am sure it will come back. Right now I am enjoying a nice vacation so maybe next month I will go on a real cycle.

this week was hard on the body at work. Skipped all kinds of workouts. but for some reason I was sore by Saturday. Switching to a new protein…. FREAK FIX. So far the first time I took it it was too intense. I don’t think I will stay with this one.

This was a light week. I avoided the gym most of the week, going in maybe twice. Today was a good workout though. The chest workout revealed some pain in my left shoulder. Deadlift cut up my hands too much so i didn’t finish all the sets. I put a huge pump on my bicep today after speeding through tricep pulldowns.

I forgot how much I have neglected some other exercises. Today was a pretty decent workout. Went light on seated cable rows for three sets of 12. Deadlift was ok … 135×8 275×8 315×6 365×2. I was hoping for at least six reps on 365 but it just didn’t happen. Ran out of gas. next was reverse situps and side raises. Then dips for three sets of 10, then pullups variations for three sets of 10. On the last set of pullups I could feel the lack of training in the muscles. And deadlift took too much energy from me. So I had to stop my workout. But verall I was pleased with todays workout.

Geez, there’s just not enough time in the day. I spent a good hour at least in the gym today. I got the butterflys in and the deads, but that was pretty much it. Hey, by the way, I ordered some shirts from Gaspari Nutrition, should be in by the end of the week.

for the last few weeks I have been scrambling to find gym time now that my semester is over. So far I have managed to get it in after work about twice a week. But since I am working nights I have a hard time making it in on the weekend because the gym closes at 5pm. Oh well, at least I can get into the gym a little. My workouts have degenerated into maintenence workouts. Its cool though because I work hard for a living. I managed to keep strength with less reps and heavier sets. But I won’t do more than 3 or 4 sets of one exercise. And the workouts are only 30 minutes at the longest, to include at least three different exercises.
