My Training Battle

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Sorry for the length whoever reads this, it just kept flowing ;=]

I used to be a chunky kid well hell lets just say a fat kid at one time.  From about 4th grade to about sophmore year in highschool, thats when I started working-out; that was the start of the new me I guess.  I started lifting with a buddy from school doing exactly what guys our age did who wanted to get big and didnt really know how haha; the usual was done chest, bisceps and triceps with back thrown in along with shoulders when we thought about it.  I got big, i think a lot can be contributed to the wieght I was carring when I started.  All through highschool I just got bigger and sorta watched what I ate, but it was never really concerned on that, I thought as long as I ran and worked out it shouldnt matter what I ate.  After two years of medial working-out I had accumulated some size with areas that just seemed neglected.  Once out of highschool I decided I wanted to be lean and big; I just went about it all wrong. It has taken me three years out of highschool to relize my mistakes. I used to be so obssed with the perfect sixpack and the perfect body all I did was work against myself all the time, working out 6 days a week with wieghts and cardio sometimes twice a day, crazy right, on top of all that taking college classes and doing martial arts two days a week several hours a day, while keeping my diet very strict.  Needless to say I was wearing my body down and battleing against myself.  About three months ago I started working out with a buddy at the gym, and he told me only on one condition would he workout with me,  keep in mind this guy looks like john henry himself for the folklore stories, I had to stop running and had to cut down to four days a week with no cardio sessions after wards.  I was devistated but I stopped running, and much to my surprise I have not gained but maybe a few extra pounds of fat in over three months, but I did put on about twenty pounds in two months.  I know that sounds crazy but the scale doesnt lie, it also helps that I lift like a college football player four days a week, two very heavy days, and two light days a week, this is finally got me going in the right path that I have wanted for years but was to blided by my ambitions for a perfect body that never came and made me look sick I am told by others.  Either way Im going to be close to where I would like to be next summer but there is always room for improvement,  the only thing that gets me is that I am not allowed any cardio until after the first of the year and even that looks scetchy haha.  I feel sorry for who ever read all of this stuff about me boring stuff I know. Sorry Again
