Increasing Intensity…

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

Today when I was at the gym, I realized about halfway through my workout that my intensity level of my workout had increased three fold. In other words, I was working about three time harder than I was when I first started my transformation. Yet, it didn’t even feel like work. It felt like a reward…like fun. I am in the zone and didn’t even know it. And It Feels Fabulous! I am finally there mentally.

It’s all downhill from here

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

I am over that hump that I was struggling with when I first switched to the cutting phase. It can be difficult to go from the gaining phase to the cutting phase especially with the food part. However, now I am in that groove and receiving the results, watching as my actions materialize in the mirror. What fun!

Work-out switch up

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

My trainer has totally swicthed up my workouts. I can tell that I am burning fat like crazy because I am ravenous. But this is always a great sign and I know my goals are in sight. Thinking thin and staying positive. Doing great on the nutrition as I have been really working on it. I feel like I am just about to make it to the top of the hill on my bike and it will be smooth sailing when I can come back down. I plan to post this new fat-burning weight workout soon. It’s supposed to help me keep the muscle and lose the fat. PERFECTO!

This week’s goals…

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Nutrition, Nutrition, Nutrition…I am really going to focus on what I put in my body this week. I have a goal set for Sept. 1, and I am 13 days away. I know like I know like I know that I can meet this expectation I have set for myself.

A great week

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

I am finally well again and feeling great. My poor cycle class probably wishes I was still sick. I really kicked some butt yesterday. My trainer has switched up my diet and I can really see and feel the difference. It looks like I will be able to reach my short term weight goal after all, and it feels super!

Back on track!

Monday, August 13th, 2007

I am finally feeling better and am able to get back on track. I am into week 3 of the cutting phase and just had a minor setback being sick, but all is good now. I plan to blog my meals and workouts until I get where I need to be.  It makes me feel more accountable.
8 a.m. egg whites w/ pico, 2 pcs toast

10 a.m. A little more than 1 hour lifting (back, chest, legs, calves)

11 a.m. Pure protein bar

12 p.m. Stairclimber, stair stepper, treadmill w/ 50% incline — 35 min.

2 p.m. Low-fat tuna salad and a cup of nonfat yogurt

7:30 p.m. Extra lean turkey meatloaf
What a great day! I have a heavy cardio day tomorrow.

SICK!

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

So I am sick and that really puts a damper on my workouts. I need to rest though so I don’t make myself sicker and miss more workouts. Goodness, it is hard staying out of the gym. I am really focusing on eating clean in these sick days, though.

Accountability

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

I plan to write ever few days here to make sure I am following the plan. Today I stayed below 1100 calories and got in 80 mins intense cardio and another 30 mins. of easy cardio. Super!

The cutting phase

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

After starting the cutting phase officially on Sunday, I feel great. I was right; the pounds are coming off about a pound every 3 days, and I couldn’t be happier. I am so excited to see the final results, and happy that I have done so well these past five days. It has been easier than I thought and feel really energetic and happy. It is nice not to have that full, bloating feeling all the time as I did when I was in the cutting phase. My jeans already fit better and it has only been 5 days. My abs are starting to show through and I can feel my metabolism kicked in high gear. My dream of how I want my body to look is coming true, and I could not be happier.
