THE MOVEMENT
Bodybuilding brothers and sister of the all natural competition. I invite you you to join me in a movement that will bring to the center of attention the crippling that is the top of our bodybuilding nation. The Mr Olympia has long been nothing but an illegal operation. Unlike any other professional sport bodybuilding can not gain mainstream sponsors because of the wide known steroid use. Sponsors will not go for it because of the bad imaging it would give their company’s. Nascar for a long time was perceived as a redneck sport surrounded by alcoholics. Not until we as a whole make a stand against steroid abuser being aloud to reap the riches of benefits from our sport can we start to see progress and make bodybuilding a mainstream sport. Think about it Mr Olympia should be an Olympic event. But not until it is clean. I need people who are willing to put themselves behind a cause. I plan on within the next two months form a petition and bring before congress the corruption of our sport. I want to push it into the same media stigma as steroids in baseball and track. So let me know who is with me. I will keep this blog fresh daily until I feel we as a whole have gained enough steam to punch a whole where it counts.

Come on guys I know this topic hits more people than this

I totally agree with you, but the sport has been this way for a long time. I’m pretty sure that all of the top bodybuilders use steroids. I just don’t see that ever changing. I do think that it’s worh a try though…so I’m with you.

Thats the thing until now with bodyspace there has never been a better time for change. Plus with congress now barging their way in on baseball for not cleaning up think about what they could do for our sport. With bodyspace and a close knit group of people connected by the internet we can form a strong voice that must be heard on a national level. Whats wrong with bringing down our sport so we can build it from the ground up. To make it something we can be proud of even if our children chose to pursue that dream. Think about it how many parents do you think automatically fear for their children when they enter the sport. Steroid are illegal because they are dangerous to human health. Men and women who take them die at early ages.

So how many people are with me on this
June 12, 2008 at 4:35 am
I am some what disappointed so far at the lack of support my blog has received from the body space community. I know this subject hits a lot more people than this.

Speedy, I agree that the drugs should be taken out of the sport, HOWEVER, I don’t agree with MORE government regulation of the country. I want congress to get off baseball and back on to issues like WHY are my TAXES so high and I cant afford GAS.
June 12, 2008 at 8:33 am
Well I agree that some aspects of our economy are neglected in the sense of our well being. But Since no one in the sport is going to cut their own pay check we need congress to step in and aid us. Anyways Congress should be able to multi task

How many parents out there would not want their sons or daughters to become pro bodybuilders because of what it take to compete at the top level. But any other sport you would encourage.
June 14, 2008 at 12:38 pm
Im discouraged that I do not have more supporters for what Im purposing.
June 14, 2008 at 1:05 pm
IS there anyone out there with petition type experience that would be helpful to my cause, if there is your support would be greatly appreciated.
June 14, 2008 at 1:59 pm
So is everyone on bodyspace to much of a coward to stand up for this cause with me
June 14, 2008 at 3:35 pm
I respect your cause, but cleaning up the sport will create a down fall. It will give the sport a black eye. Look at how people are reacting to other sports. Maybe you should try another approach to get people on board. Maybe you should ease up on calling people cowards and instead get insight on how they would challenge the system. You want to create a group to make a movement against steriod use and thats great. Lose the negative comments about your progress for support and keep pushing. You seem like a passionate person and our country needs more of you to stop putting up with the bullshit. Stay strong.

Yes I agree its frustrating to try and move and have almost everyone stand still. But what I’m talking about is making that downfall happen, it needs to happen. The slate needs to be wiped clean. Bodybuilding is ridiculous! Think about everyone know that Mr Olympia is roiding. Whenever someone in the gym bulks up 20 or 30 pounds in a three month span people think they are juicing, and why? Because this sport is a black eye and that is why we can not get mainstream sponsors even for Mr Olympia

A question or a survey if you will. How many of you have been approached to take steroids to get a jump start to building muscle?
