THE ZONE!!

So it was a pretty hefty leg day and I had envisioned what I had wanted to accomplish since the night before when I went to bed…HEAVY SQUATS! Finally that moment had come on the 5th set with 405 on the bar staring me in the face. Just turned up the tunes and made myself believe it was light weight…got under it went down and up for a good 7 reps (having wanted 6 I was already past what i wanted, could have easily racked it but no…) Something kicked in after that 7th rep and I was in a zone I have never been in before. I was finally able to bust out 5 more good reps for a total of 12 before my knee strap had come undone!

I cant even begin to describe how I was feeling after that, tired, accomplished, proud, hurting…I had dropped straight to the floor to sit down after, its like something snapped in my head and since then my workouts have been even more intense and i want to recreate that feeling at all costs! :)

Just thought I would share with whoever decides to read this, thanks!

Weight!!

So I have been trying to get over the 210lb mark with my weight for awhile now and it was finally accomplished today! I have been eating a lot more (healthy of course) and pounding down the shakes. Changing up my workout program and stepping up the intensity has helped a tremendous amount! I just feel like a little kid on Christmas day getting what he has wanted for a long time!

Next step…215…hopefully by the end of Sept!! Watch out! ;)

So I’m feeling pretty good after week 1 of my workout! My strength has gone up as well my endurance! Going to take some pictures soon but I really want to see a change thats why I’m waiting longer right now in between pics! Only more good to come! Definitely tuff though. Shoulder day was by far the hardest. I do not have the best shoulder in the world but I pushed through it and came out on top!

Early Morning

Since switching from Night’s to Day’s on my work schedule I have also swiched the time I work out. Its now between 0430-0600. It has only been 2 days but so far I feel a lot more energized throughout the day! Also feels like I am earning my meals throughout the day, rather than trying to work them off toward the night. Different mind set ;) Does anyone else workout early in the morning like this? If so I would like to know how often you do it, and what you might eat before bed, or even right before the gym. thanks!
