What week is it?

It’s been several weeks since the last time I set foot in the gym…

About 2 and a half weeks ago I started working at a temp job.  Working!  I just don’t know how anyone has the energy to work and then work out. Or to get up early enough to work out and then go to work.  And you don’t even want to know what I ate today . . .  I finally broke down and went to the grocery store and got some edible things to put in my refrigerator.

I still can’t eat chicken, by the way, or beef.  I managed to eat turkey over Thanksgiving, though.

So I’m pretty frustrated with my apparent abandonment of my workout program.  And I feel it physically — it feels yuck.  I know I will make my way back to my program.  I found a permanent job and I am moving to another town, so I will be joining a new gym and setting up a new routine in a few weeks.  I want my new life to include my workout program.

I really liked what MQuang said in one of his comments to me, about making time for himself. He said he gives himself one hour every day to take care of himself before he takes care of everyone else.  That is a really great way to look at it.

That is a good way to go about things. Another way I like to see things (cause there are times I work 13+ hrs, is at the end of that, once I get home, BEFORE I can think up an excuse to not go to the gym, I JUST GO! I figure, once Im there, I have to do something. Or else I just wasted gas in gettin there and now I pretty much f-ed my self if I don’t do something. But thats me. You’ll get there. I know the move to the new town is gonna suck, but once you get the hang of things, if YOU want them to, thing’s’ll start going your way. Good luck!

Thanks Motorbiker! I am hoping to choose a gym that is located between work and home, so that I will practically have to go to the gym even before getting home. :) Where is your profile?
