Week 1
Saturday, September 27th, 2008Over the course of the last week, I got more serious about my training.
Monday, I ran 2 miles on the treadmill and did an upper body workout with weights at the gym.
Wednesday, I ran to the gym, then did a hefty legs workout with weights, and then walked back home. I saw my professor there — I got so nervous and tripped all over my words, uh! I was so embarrassed. o’well, these things happen.
Thursday, I ran 2 miles and did an upper body workout.
Saturday - 3 mile run
As a result of the legs workout on Wednesday, my legs were sore, and the 3 mile run on Saturday was not that much fun. But I got through it. So did my sister, E. We even got there on time.
There is no free breakfast anymore, just bottled water. But we did get to meet the coach’s dad. And the coach answered some of my questions about weight lifting. He advised me to lift on days I don’t run and to go easy on the legs.
