I’m sitting at my desk putting my meal plan together for tomorrow as always, and I have already figured out what my new year’s resolution will be. 8% body fat. I think with the dedication I have I can achieve this goal by the end of 2009. Maybe…And then I can start competing, eventually.
I worked biceps and chest harder than ever today. Legs yesterday harder than ever. I feel stronger nowadays, and I have seen a lot of improvement in one short month of weight training combined with cardio.

Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed just wondering why I didn’t do this before…I wonder why other people don’t bother to take care of themselves this way either. (Well, a big chunk of the population)

I wonder why my mother doesnt understand this lifestyle and the amazing-ness of it, and why she criticizes it when I am just trying to be the best I can be. I know a few others are in this situation as well, whether it be with friends, co-workers, family, etc.

I remember when my best guy friend and I met 9 years ago, and he asked me to play basketball with him. We were both chubby and dorky haha. Who would’ve thought he would be a bodybuilder today and that eventually I would be following in similar footsteps.

I can’t wait to see my body continue to change and progress. I’m sure if you’re reading this you’re probably nodding your head and thinking, "I know, I know"…

Random blog I guess, just needed to type.

Sometime in June 2008, It hit me…WOW, i’m going to die if I keep this up. I was eating P.F. Changs about twice a week, along with McDonald’s 5 days a week, and in between I managed to squeeze in Subway, Cookies, coffee every day, caramel apples, chips, pizza…You name it, I ate it. To top it off, I don’t remember drinking water, ever. I drank soda every single day, artificial juices, and you get the point….I was going downhill.

This was In June, I believe. My cousin’s wedding. I was wearing a size 16 dress, I believe.

On August 22nd, I took my first step by joining Weight Watchers. Although I only did it for about a month, It helped to guide me in the right direction. I started to learn how to manage my portions for the most part.

Still, I was eating mostly processed foods, not drinking nearly enough water, and not exercising. Just not eating as much as I used to. I also decided to cut my hair. Kind of starting over fresh.

Me at my biggest. Stomach, double chin and all. I think I looked like a boy.

My first month I lost about 12 lbs.
STILL eating processed foods, still eating junk in small portions, and not drinking too much water. Eating only 3x a day. Also, I was only doing cardio for 30 minutes about twice a week…lol.

Still had a belly and too much fat on my legs. No definition in my arms either.

I was happier, that’s for sure, but I knew I could do way better. Look at my chin :-/

This was around that same time….Face still chubby, but starting to lose the double chin. lol.

In this picture, I had lost about 5 more lbs I believe. I remember those jeans were fitting me again and they were a size 12. I was amazed that in such a short time I had dropped all those pant sizes.

For a little while, I didnt take many pictures.
I know for sure I have lost 22 lbs, but I decided to no longer weigh myself.
The scale means nothing!!!
I started Weight Watchers on August 22nd.
It is November 25th now, and I only officially started working out religiously about 3 weeks ago.

i NO LONGER EAT PROCESSED FOODS! Everything I eat is natural, clean, or raw. Very rarely do I cheat, and I don’t miss all the junk food. When I do cheat, I get right back on track though.

I eat 6x a day, high protein in all my meals, and I drink a gallon of water a day. I carry the jug with me everywhere lol.

I do high intensity cardio, 45 minutes a day, 6 days a week.
I do weights 4 days a week. In only 3 weeks I’ve noticed a significant change in body structure so far.

My arms are harder and stronger, I am starting to see little cuts on them lol. I can squat & punch my thighs and they will not jiggle! My butt has more muscle I look forward to the gym, and i’m really happy being there. Okay, enough, ill show my most recent pics.

No fat rolls on my stomach when I sit, but I still need to improve a lot, my main focus is my arms.

And then something awesome happened. Most of you who know me already know that I think It’s awesome when you can see veins on people. I know, Im weird, but I like it. Ithink its attractive and in a way it shows you’re healthy.

Well I noticed my hip bones are slowlllllly starting to show, and you can see some veins. Exciting haha. My stomach wasnt red, it’s the lighting, I guess.

So yeah, still have about 30 more pounds of fat I would like to lose, but so far I am very happy with my results and I can’t wait to see more.

I start Culinary school in Miami in January and at the same time I do that, I will also be training to become a personal trainer. I want to train only when I reach my desired goal so that I can set a good example for my clients…But the cool thing is I get to study at my own pace and I just have to take the tests to get certified. im getting my first certification from ISSA. 2 days a week Culinary school, and the rest will be studying nutrition which I do on a daily basis anyway.

Oh yeah, and i’m a size 8-10 right now…I also don’t have a double chin anymore!

So yes, that’s it so far. Stay tuned for more!

Yesterday I felt like I needed an energy boost before the gym. Energy drinks never do anything for me, so I asked the guy at the gym if they had any ephedra tea, but they were out. (I’ve never had ephedra tea, but i’ve heard it really works). So I went for the redline princess which he said would taste better than the regular redline. Smart me, I decided to drink the whole bottle instead of half. I felt like I could take on the world! I have never ever exercised so hard in my life, it was amazing. I did intense cardio for an hour, and throughout the whole session, my heart rate was between 178-183 and it said, "peak high". Maybe that isnt so good, but it felt pretty good. Today I went out and bought a 4 pack of the redline extreme which I guess is supposed to be stronger…We’ll see…Next time I am taking half though!

So, every morning when I wake up, my mother is awake. No matter how early, she is always awake. She then proceeds to ask, "What are you having for breakfast?", and my response is always either "protein shake", or "oatmeal and egg whites". You would think she is used to this? No.

To my surprise, she did not ask yesterday morning what I was having for breakfast. Instead, she filled up about a 10 oz cup with milk, and scooped in 3 tablespoons of godiva hot chocolate mix, and handed it to me. "You never drink milk", she says…
Me: "I have cottage cheese every night, that has milk"

Mother: "You don’t eat right, you never eat"

Me: "I eat every 3 hours, and you KNOW that It’s healthy. I’m not drinking that hot chocolate"

Mother: ::Endless Rant about my obsession with the gym, food, etc…::

…Anyone else have similar experiences with people? Please say yes!

P.S.-This morning, she RE-HEATED yesterdays hot chocolate, and when she wasn’t around I threw it down the sink. Oi.

45 minutes of hard-core cardio today, it was awesome. I’ve discovered that listening to Bleeding Through on my iPod makes me feel like I can workout longer and harder. Something about the screaming and electric guitars, hah.

The past week or so, I gained about 5 lbs. wtf? I eat about 5 times a day and have whey protein after my workout, but I alwaysss stay within my points (weight watchers) and all I eat is super clean, healthy food. Nothing processed, no junk. I’m doing cardio 6 days a week, for 45 minutes each session, and doing weight training 4 days. Also, I’m now drinking a gallon of water a day which is something I didn’t do before, so hopefully it’s water retention? Or maybe muscle, since i’m doing a lot more weights now. I don’t know, but I weighed in today and had lost 2 lbs again. I think I should stop weighing myself and just focus on my measurements and bmi.

I think when I reach my goals I’d like to become a personal trainer. After I finish with Culinary school, I want to go back to school again and study nutrition. How I would love to be a Chef/Nutritionist/Personal Trainer all at the same time. <3

I eat very clean and still have no idea what could have cause that. Maybe just a bad day…

Today I made a change. I’ve been a pesco vegetarian for almost 2 years. Well, I had chicken today! I only had a little bit to see how my body would react to it, but I am fine, and i’ll be honest and say that it was goooood. I think If I want to make it easier for myself to get in all the protein I need, I should try to at least start eating chicken again…Now steak or any of that other stuff, I will pass on though…I’ll stick to my whey protein <3

I should take new progress pictures…Since I started, I’ve lost 2 inches off my waist and hips, 1.5 inches off my thighs and armssss, and .5 from my calves. I wasn’t weight training back then though.

Unfortunately, I have to go work at lovely Best Buy now. Be back laterrr.
