Busy!

August 26, 2009

Hey sorry everyone. I’ve been super busy lately. I got home from Iraq about a month ago. I have a newborn, beautiful, daughter and I landed a new job. I haven’t been able to update lately and keep up with my workout. However, once I get settled down and get on a fixed schedule I’ll be up and running in no time! Well that’s it for now. I’m off to go look for another apartment. This one is kind of expensive and.. well… distasteful. Cya!

Very Disappointed..

March 8, 2009

So.. I’m extremely disappointed with myself. I’m usually good about keeping my motivation high and saying, "Hey, you’ll get it next time".. if I’m unable to do a certain weight/exercise.. However tonight just really knocked me down. It was Chest night. I started off strong. Did 6 sets 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2. Started with 135 and ended with 225. So I was feeling great! I stretched it out and yes I warmed up before my sets. So…. I moved on to incline dumbbell flyes. I did a good 4 sets 10 reps each with 50s. Now… here comes the tricky part. Out of NO WHERE my chest decides to just give out. The corner of my pecs were pinching so bad that I couldn’t even bench up 115!! I really don’t know what happened. I’m eating healthy… I’m supplementing correctly… I’m warming up and using proper form… and I’m not doing too much weight. I’ve even been working chest regularly so it isn’t like I’ve been away from it for a while. I don’t know… I’m just really disappointed with what happened. I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong… it has to be something that I’ve done.

Personal Trainer Certification

February 25, 2009

I’ve been wanting to get my personal trainer certification for a bit now. The only problem with achieving this goal is… I’m in Iraq!!! I was wondering if there was an online course or if a company can mail the exam to me or something. The only problem with that is finding an accredited company. I don’t want to end up wasting time and money on a fake or something that won’t transfer over to any gym back home. Anyone have any suggestions?

Extremely Motivated

February 18, 2009

Even though I’m in Iraq I still have the gym to keep me up. I was leaving the shower when I decided to step in front of a mirror and check out my progress. I was surprised at the results. I noticed a little bit more bulk but what really got me was the definition in my triceps and abs. It’s not much but it’s a start. I’m totally stoked about it. It’s not even that far into my workout even. What excited me even more was the fact that I’m not on any supplements yet. (I’m waiting for them to come… Iraq sucks when it comes to mail.) I can’t imagine once I get this routine down pat and I’m regular on my vitamins and supplements. I’m also increasing my clean calorie intake. It’s just a little hard to do right now due to odd work hours and such. Anyway I thought I’d just share that. I’m trying hard to get progress pics posted up. >_< I don’t have a camera. You’d think someone here would have one.

A New Face

February 11, 2009

Well here I am… Playing around with this new blog spot. I have about 2 hours before I go to the gym. I need to get back into shape and hopefully this site will just add to my motivation. Oh, where are my manners? Hi, I’m new. I’d enjoy meeting and talking to all sorts of people. Maybe exchange workout secrets or give some tips here and there. Even a "good job" every now and then wouldn’t hurt.

Hmm. A little about myself. I’m a soldier in the U.S. Army currently serving in Iraq. I have about half a year to build myself to my goals. I am getting back into the kick of things. The last time I was serious about working out was in high school. So I finally decided to get back to the grind. It made me feel good and I miss that.

So with all of that said and done… I begin.
