Worked on arms and core work today. Waiting for my P90X dvds… my housemate has resolved to start exercising and maybe by watching me do the P90X workouts she will be motivated.

Personal note - I need to take multivitamins and look up supplements. I wonder what’s a good start?

Chest and shoulders day. Wooohooooo!! Dips, bench presses, flys, pushups, shrugs, shoulder presses, pullovers, dumbell presses.. me like chest and shoulder days :D

Am realising that it’s my nutrition that is f**king me up big time. Am now wondering if 1260-1500 calories a day is the right amount for me after all.

Let’s see… back to basics..

1)I want to be stronger (make my guy friends embarassed to go to the gym with me, ze wusses)

2) I want to be leaner (want those muscles to pop a little more, cut and ripped, more definition)

3) I want to lose that damn body fat.

4) Know what the hell I am putting in my body. So much damn informationnnnn!

Ok. So.. weight lifting .. check. Nutrition… iz like crap.. gotta revamp and eat clean. Learn more about this damnit! Cardio.. yikes.. gotta keep heart rate up.. wish just lifting weights would do it (lower body fat but noooooooo.. not enough.. damnit damnit.. I don’t know how some girls can just toddle on a threadmill for an hour.)

Must. Find. Trainer to train my azz for next level!

Gotta try and continue the path of staying lean over the holidays.. although it is proving a little tough. Chicago is WICKED cold and all I want to do is hibernate and eat rich yummy fatty salty .. gotta stop thinking evil food thoughts.

Leg workout today, frontal squats, lunges, smith machine squats, flat back deadlifts, seated calf raises, leg presses. Followed by some corework - v-ups with stability ball, medicine ball side twists, plank, trunk rotations.

And damnit .. went to get gas for my car and the darn gas cap wont unlock -  I think there is a manual way of opening this from the trunk. So. Damn. Cold. :( :( :( :(

Strong day today. Had 2 hard boiled eggs, + red bull for a little energy perk and headed to ze mothership. Worked on back excercises and then ran for 10 mins + eliptical for 10. Ok I can do this cardio thing damnitttt! Also did 3 x 10 pushups + 3 x 5 trunk rotations + mountain climbers/v-ups.

Ugh… rough start today. Woke up early with all good intentions of hitting the gym hard with a 10 minute jog but that fell to bits. Fell back asleep after peeking out the window and seeing my car covered in snow and ice. Heh heh. BUT!! Did manage to go to the gym .. worked on upper body and ran for all of.. 5 mins. This cardio business is going to take a helluva lot more willpower than I thought. Felt sluggish.. however I know it’s due to eating porridge (whaaaaaaat?1 I hear you say) in the morning instead of my normal red bull and hard boiled eggs. At least I got to the gym today.

Today:

3 x 10 full body dips

3 x 10 dumbell press (20 lbs)

3 x 10 shoulder press (15 lbs)

3 x 10 bicep curls (15lbs)

3 x 20 triceps dips

2 x 10 v-ups using stability ball

3 x 1 min plank position

ran for (ahem) 5 mins.

Don’t feel like I did a lot at all, but also realise I’m feeing entirely sluggish. :(

I have been working out consistantly for the past 3 years, but it is time to take it up a notch. My arms and shoulders have toned up pretty nicely, but I seem to have hit a rut lately both mentally and physically .. due to my workout routine. I do not do any cardio, which I am going to change, planning on running twice a week + my regular workouts. Am thinking of joining either a local amatuer volleyball club or some kind of team sport to add motivation and goals. There seems to be an overabundance of information pertaining workouts, nutrition, mental health.. it’s rather hard to filter through it all. I want to start the process of being a fitness model, but am overwhelmed with information, (and lack of) as well as self doubt regarding my age (am I too old for this dream?), is there a market for someone who looks like me? do I need to compete? should I keep trying to filter through the mass information on nutrition and workouts and dos and don’ts on my own.. I don’t mind spending money on quality training but man alive..

So many questions, I know I am at point A trying to get to point B.. but how do I get there effeciently and safely? (cost effective would be good too)

Cardio cardio cardio.
