Fewer Ut Ohs!, More Woo Hoos!
Thursday, May 29th, 2008Went into the weight room today. Did some barbell curls. Curled the 110 pound barbell for 6 reps. That’s an estimated one rep max near 130. Getting stronger just freaking kicks ***. I measured my arms tonight just for sh*ts and giggles. I THOUGHT my arms were looking bigger and the measurements confirmed it. I measured 14.25 inches after my pump had subsided. When I’m pumped I’m sure I’d measure larger. A few months ago I was a little under 14 inches. What’s this mean? It means I’m bigger AND stronger (more definition too by the way). Am I happy? Heck yes I’m happy.
I was updating my stats tonight and saw that I have a goal of 15 inch arms by the end of the year. I completely forgot about this goal, but it looks like I might be able to reach it . . . uhhhh maybe. I had to strain my wrists to make the progress I have, but I’ve been going easy on them for almost a week now, and they’re feeling like they’re ALMOST 100%. I’ll have to strengthen my wrists before I go back to the heavy weights or I’ll just re-injure myself. (I didn’t really injure myself because I stopped before it got that far . .but you know what I’m talking about.)
