I gotta warn you I just kinda think out loud in these things and I’m not the most interesting person in the world.  If you know me and like me, then you might be interested in what I have to say.  Otherwise . . .sorry.  Now that that’s out of the way . ..onward!
Girlfriend’s been out of town for about a week.  What’s that mean?  It means I’ve been eating better than usual and working out twice as much.  THAT’S what it means.  I did about 4 workouts that were around 1:40 - 1:50 hours, and I cut out virtually all sweets from my diet.  In the last week, I ate nothin’ but lean meats, steamed veggies, whole multi grain bread, cheese, cottage cheese, protein powders, V8, Peanut Butter, . . . . umm what else . . . only healthy stuff, ZERO fast food or restaurant food.  And what was the result?  Well, I look noticeably better.  I got on the Tanita to see what IT had to say and according to the Tanita, I LOST weight and my bodyfat remained about the same.  I LOST muscle mass (and that loss is reflected in my barbell bicep curl graph on my profile)  Anyway, THAT’S the "wwwwooooops!" that I put as my title.  I was hungrier lately, but I WAS eating more so I thought I was eating enough, but I guess I was wrong.  <–terrible sentence there; guess I’m tired.  I should have been counting calories more closely.  I worked out for longer periods with more intensity AND I worked out more often and THEN I guess I didn’t eat enough.  Overtraining.  Well sh*t.

I thought about skipping my planned workout tonight to allow my body more time to recover.  Triceps and chest were still a bit sore.  But I don’t want to cut down on the workouts.  I’m sorry but I don’t.   . . .. . I just can’t do that.  I need to get in the gym and lift.  So, I decided I’d just eat MUCH MORE than I have been to compensate for the extra calories burned and the higher metabolism.  If I eat more, it should help my body rebuild faster and help prevent the overtraining. . . .I hope.

Must also admit that I DID buy a bag of Reeses PB cups.  The excuse?  I need sugars right after my workout to replenish my muscle glycogen.  Is THAT so wrong?  ummmmmm . . . but I’ve been snacking on them every now and then too . .. ummm . .ooops??  I need the extra calories BUT those are some unhealthy freaking calories man!  Anyway, I think I have it under control and I’m ONLY going to have the candy right after my workouts with my ON Whey protein.

Ramble ramble ramble . .crap I have to work tomorrow.  Hope everybody’s doing well.  Goodnight.
