can’t complain really

A couple days ago I over did it.  I was working out early + hadn’t eaten in like, 12 hours (sleep and then no breakfast) + I had Lipo 6 AND White Flood before the workout.  Anyway about 10 sets into my workout I was feeling sick.  My skin was clammy and I felt like I was gonna  . ..  hurrrl.  Needless to say, I was done.  I had some protein in water and took a cool shower.  (I had heat exhaustion in the Marines and I know the warning signs.)  So yeah, stopped the workout and took a cool shower.

Anyway . . .. BEFORE I got sick I managed a new personal best.  I started my workout, as I often do, with alternating DB curls.  I attempted the 55 lb dumbbells for the first time and managed to complete 4 reps without too much trouble.  Much better than I anticipated.  Those 4 reps with the 55 lb dumbbells give me a predicted BARbell one rep max of 120 - 121 lbs, a new personal best.

I worked out this evening.  Again, I was able to get out 4 reps with the 55 lb dumbbells.   So, I’m happy.  I’ll be curling the 60’s in one or two weeks tops.  Had a pretty solid workout.

Bodyfat % is down AGAIN, thank God.  Muscle mass is UP.  I’m stronger.  Oh, I made a decision today.  I’ve decided to workout legs every other workout from now on.  Not exclusively legs, but I’ll work out legs in addition to the upper body.  So, workout every other day (been doing that for a little over a month) and workout LEGS every other workout.  My legs seem to take more time to recover so I’ll give them plenty of time to recover.  I used to rarely workout my legs, but I think working the legs is having a positive impact so I’m going to do it more often.

That’s about it.  Fingers crossed.  Peace out.  Hope everybody is doing well, making progress, and happy.

Big props on knowing when you should pack it in. I’ll be the first to admit that I occasionally ignore the signs that I should take it easy and end up hurting myself.
