Tonight’s workout. . .
Worked out for about 2 hours tonight. 9 to 11 pm. Started out lethargic, just dragging my *ss around the weightroom. But I kept going and eventually got into the groove. Got a good pump, good burn, painful but goooood. I really LOVE feeling the individual muscle tighten up as I flex it. My whole life, I never experienced that until several months ago when I started lifting seriously. Working my Triceps, I can feel if I’m working the outside or the inside, working the chest I can feel if I’m really hitting the outside or the inside upper or lower. I can feel my biceps tense up into a tight hard ball; I can SEE it too. I enjoy it. Did 55 sets in the two hours. Like I said I started out slow for the first 30 minutes, didn’t do much. Picked up the pace for the other hour and a half. Good intensity once I got going. Delts, Traps, Lats, (Maybe rhomboids and other back muscles as well) triceps, biceps, pecs, incidental work on the forearms serratus anterior, core, and other stuff of course. Speaking of forearms, I got some lifting straps because my hands and forearms were giving out before my traps whenever I tried to do heavy shrugs. I want to improve my traps but I can’t do that if my forearms are getting tired out BEFORE my traps are really being challenged. So I got the lifting straps just for the shrugs. Won’t use the straps for anything else.
Not eating like I should recently. Upset with myself. Bought 2 5 pound tubs of ON Gold Standard Whey tonight before the workout. I’ll be eating more tuna, salmon, chicken, olive oil, fruits and veggies . . . for the next month or so. Seeing if I can lean up some. Been bouncing around in the 11%’s and 10%’s lately according to the Tanita.
Okay, the Tanita. I KNOW my muscles are larger. I can see it. No doubt. But the Tanita says my lean body mass has decreased (part of the reason why I’m bouncing around between 10 and 12% bodyfat. WTF?! Muscles BIGGER = MORE lean body mass NOT LESS!!!!! I dunno what’s going on with the Tanita. Weight is holding steady. If weight is holding steady and muscle mass in increasing . . . then I must be losing fat.
W = M + F
If W is constant and M is increasing, then F must be decreasing at the same rate at which M is increasing.
Aren’t I smart?! Wow. Okay sorry I’m kidding. It’s late I’m tired blah blah blah don’t care. Going to bed. EXAMS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!! Holy freaking shoot. What am I gonna do?

Dude you train way too long, you’re probably being counter productive after the 1st hour, your bodies probably eating itself up, being lethargic is a true sign of OVERTRAINING. Get it done harder and faster.LOL

I normally train for one hour. I trained longer tonight because I DID have the energy. I felt GOOD. That’s why I kept going. There are other reasons why people may feel lethargic during a workout. Lack of sleep is one of those reasons. Stress is another. Arnold, the oak, felt lethargic sometimes, but HE’D work through it and he usually ended up having a good workout. If it’s good enough for HIM, then I think it’s good enough for me. I did not workout the last three days in a row. I was busy with papers, projects, tests, and a girlfriend. I doubt my initial lethargy was a result of overtraining. Also, if it were overtraining, then I doubt I would have been able to lift the heavy weights that I did and get the pump I did. No way man. Good workout. Felt good. My HEAD just wasn’t in it at first.
That is all.

And as far as my body going catabolic and eating itself up, I was sippin’ on protein thoughout the second half of the workout. I ain’t stupid.
