Okay, so I wanted to be 200 pounds and 10% body fat, that all changed.

Okay, so I wanted to be 200 pounds and 10% body fat. Well, my doctors have all decided to change my mind on that goal. My medical doctor talked with my cadiologist and my nutritionist. They tell me that I can not weigh 220 pounds even with 10% body fat, not with my families medical history. In my family medical history tree, we have heart disease, stroke, high cholsterol, high blood pressure and weight issues. So my doctors told me that I will have to reduce my overall size by at least 40%. My doctor (who is also a leading medical advisor to the US Olympic Team, so I take his advice seriously) told me that with my family medical history, I will need to reduce my overall total weight down to 165 to 180 pounds. He said that with a family history of weak heart and stroke that I would be playing with fire if I did not follow his orders, since my heart would have to push itself much harder to force blood flow through the dense muscle mass and that as I am now, I stand in danger of a heart attack or a stroke by the time I reach 55 years old, and that is 13 years away. He told me that I need to lose weight, fat and muscle mass (fast) to get down to my new target of around 175 pounds. I know how to lose fat but I am not altogether sure how to lose muscle mass. Any ideas?, my doctor recommended that I do 1 hour of cardio 6 days a week until I reach 175 pounds. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? I do take his advice seriously, but the whole "reduce muscle mass" thing has got me wondering how to really do it.

Any thoughts or comments will be very much appreciated.
