Hell Week

‘Tis the time for Hell Week, starting Monday, June 29th at ?? o’clock.
If anyone would like to join me, here is my schedule:
Monday: 500 pushups (My previous time: 1 hr 18 min.)
Tuesday: 1,000 squats (New time assigned: will be revealed after the session)
Thursday: 250 pullups (Previous time: 2 hours 2 minutes)
Friday: 1/2 mile walking lunges around track (New time assigned: will be revealed after session)
I asked Janthony how much time he thought I could beat my previous times by, and he also gave new expected times in which to do the squats and walking lunges since the reps and distance have been changed from the last time I did Hell Week.
But, to give an air of anticipation, I’ll let ya’ll know whether I failed to meet his expectations or met up to his expectations…or beat them out.
French_pedi did the pullups with me as he fantasized about Dara Torres.
And Tightchick did the squats, WEIGHTED. Note: Don’t do weighted squats.
So, if you’d like to join me, let me know and next week, I’ll give the time I’m starting. You can either do it at the same time, or do it when you have a chance.

Funny thing you mention that, it seems the more I work, strengthen and develop my legs, the harder non lifting movements are becoming. Not enjoying cardio at all at this point.

Goood Lawd, that looks like HELL week to me. I would do it, but I have my bootcamp 3 days in a row b/c most people are headed out of town for the 4th…that would be a death wish if I did both. But I will be your #1 cheerleader!

I wish I could join ya Shannon, but I have to rearrange my sock drawer on Monday. My sock puppets get pissy if I don’t keep on schedule.

I would love to join you….if I could figure out how to do this at work. So my time would be NO WHERE near yours. I can see it now, I’m walking through the warehouse and all of a sudden I drop to do push ups…they might call the people that have these little white jackets to come and take me away
(not a bad thought sometimes)

Yeah, I have one of those, or something like it. Now as long as I fine the right doorframe. The one to my office in the warehouse barely supports the door! But I am going to give it an effort, just don’t expect a time worthy of mentioning (lol) I will be working chest and back on Monday so that ought to be a good warm up.

well that is definitely Hell week. My shoulder would give out on that many pullups probably. I’ll give the squats a try, I’m thinking the pushups would kill my shoulder too, but I might try them for sh*ts and giggles.

Okay… I’m in for the push-ups and squats. On the pull-ups… are they dead-hang or assisted?

what? you do real pullups with no assist machine? I haven’t weaned off that yet at the gym..
