Stripping down

I’m down to my last 18 pounds of weight to lose.  I found myself eating healthy one meal, and then eating crap throughout the day.  Or, I was eating totally clean all day, but the next would be whatever was convenient…even if it wasn’t so healthy.  I was losing weight, but it was coming off painfully slow.  I know slow is a good thing, but less than 1/2 a pound a week is waaaaay too slow.
I have an old Rachel McLish book, “Perfect Parts”, that has a 30 day  “Rapid Weight Loss Diet” where it’s designed to allow you to lose 2 pounds per week.

I’m on day 4, and I’ve lost 3 pounds.  That was based on what I weighed 7 days ago.  Between that, cardio, and weight lifting, I should shed the pounds no problem.

The diet is classic eat clean: 3 meals, 3 snacks, LOTS of protein and vegetables, and also fruit and complex carbs like potato, whole wheat toast. And then either rice or pasta twice weekly.  After that, I’ll go on the maintenance diet she has.

I’m feeling great and never have cravings for sweets and salty foods like I used to.  No more fighting demons.

I have learned my weaknesses and if I wait until I’m TOO hungry, I’ll grab whatever I can and it’s not always healthy.  So I make a point to eat all of the meals and snacks.  I did allow myself to eat off course over the weekend, but the portions were small and I kept within my calorie allowance.

Get this friggin weight off already!!
