So I think I need to up my cals a bit…today I was ravenous and I hate that feeling…I was super busy today so I probably burned a lot more cals than usual (esp. since I don’t do any cardio).

Gonna throw in another meal, making it 7 total, from tmw.

I’ve been eating about 2000 calories (only been entering it into fitday for a few days now because I used to eyeball it and guesstimate).

Trying to stay at this amount for about a month and see what happens. I’m ultimately trying to put on mass with minimal fat gains…And my maintenance is "supposed" to be about approximately 1950.

Gonna start my cutting diet at the beginning of April…I don’t plan on decreasing my cals, but I will start incorporating cardio into my routine. Although a lot can change between now and then!

I’m 80% recovered from the flu….My last workout was on Monday and I’m looking forward to training this coming Monday. I haven’t been doing any cardio lately because I want more than anything to gain weight. My short term goal is to get to 130 and then from there, possibly 135.

I’ve continuously been raising my cals mainly to increase the size of my legs…As always a work in progress.
Lately I have been having the urge to do some spin classes or something…Reading my old blogs reminded me that I wanted to keep up with the sprinting but the cold weather made it very unappealing! I am going to figure something else out because there are still quite a bit of winter weather left.

I think my gains are coming along nicely and I’ve tried to take some of the advice on the boards and keep my abs almost visible while putting on weight so that when I do decide to cut, I will not have to diet to drastically (and losing lots of muscle in the process).

Can’t wait for spring to get here :D Oh and a quick note to myself for next year, when winter rolls around START DOUBLING UP ON VIT. C and ZINC !!!

Fluffy Cottage Cheese Pancakes

Vegetarian

In these moist and tender pancakes, the cottage cheese adds quality calcium and protein. Serve with a bit of butter and maple syrup or, for a special treat, top with organic fig spread.

Serves 4

  • 1 cup unbleached flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

In a large mixing bowl, blend the flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cottage cheese, milk and oil. Add the flour mixture to the liquid ingredients, whisking until completely blended.

Spray a skillet or a griddle with canola oil spray. Heat over medium. Drop batter by the quarter cup onto the hot skillet. Cook just a few minutes, checking the underside and adjusting the heat as needed. Flip when browned and continue to cook on the other side until lightly browned.

Per serving (190g-wt.): 350 calories (140 from fat), 15g total fat, 3.5g saturated fat, 19g protein, 34g total carbohydrate (less than 1g dietary fiber, 8g sugar), 255mg cholesterol, 620mg sodium

Sooo it seems like I am just having one of those weeks….Trying to get my diet in check and my s/o orders pizza and wings for dinner tonight /boggle

Talk about Temptation Island over here….

Still haven’t been able to hit the gym b/c I have 2 tests tomorrow back to back and I definitely don’t feel prepared for either of them.

I got 3 hours sleep last night and 5 hours nap earlier in the day! Ouch! Starting to feel tired now but can’t really do anything about it b/c I have to study…Eeeeep

The past few days my diet has been horrendous! Not enough calories and not frequently enough :( Of course it happens on the first 2 days that school starts back! I have to get it back on track b/c I will not allow a downward spiral…

My food choices were not terrific today, but hey could be worse right :) ?

Breakfast -
I had egg, bacon, cinnamon raisin bagel and water

Brunch-

3 F.F CC pancakes (lol when I got home my hubby just woke up so I had breakfast again)

Lunch-

a rotisserie Chicken leg and half an Italian Panini

Snack-

Tangarine and Salad (broccoli, tomato, and greens)

Dinner-

1 fillet of Tilapia and a sweet potato

Supplements:

Multi and 2 fish oil tabs
