I’m very proud of myself right now. I know it’s only been a few days but I can’t believe how well I am doing. Not even a slip up in the food intake. I’ve also been very active. If I can keep this up for three months straight…woooooooweeeeeeeeee I could lose a ton of weight! *fingers crossed*
Biggest fear right now is juggling everything that’s going on in my life. I know I can do it though. It’s just going to be rough. It would help if work wasn’t an hour away from where I live *sigh*

I still have a lot to work on but I’ve been very good as far as sticking to a healthy diet. The adipex is really helping curb my cravings. I’m going to have to try to get more protein into my diet and maybe lower the carb intake if possible.
I did 45 minutes of cardio today. I will be doing 45 minutes tomorrow as well. Basically going to try to do as much cardio as possible without overdoing it. I plan on weight training for a couple hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays in between my classes.
I’ll be weighing myself every Friday.
I have three months to use adipex. I’m going to try to get as much out of it as possible.
Food log for today:
two pieces peanut butter toast with 1 cup skim milk = 380 calories
two bowls multigrain cheerios with 3 cups skim milk = 510 calories
two small red apples = 162 calories
one banana = 105 calories
about 5 strawberries = 30

I’ve been struggling to get my life in order since I moved, started taking classes, and got a new job. I’ve put on a lot of weight in the last few months and I’ve been very lethargic. My Doctor recently put me on Celexa for depression and today I started Adipex to help me lose weight. My brother and sister-in-law are helping me with my diet and exercise. I’ve got a lot of motivation and I’m positive I can get a lot of work done. I’m tired of being tired. I’ve got to get healthy.

I’m very very excited! I’m going to be going back to college finally to finish up my degree. I’m going to be double majoring. Social Work Assistance and Chemical Dependency. It should only take me one year. I’ll be able to graduate next spring if I get started this summer. Only thing keeping me from that right now is the fact that I don’t have a vehicle and the school is a half an hour drive away.
So that’s why we are going to buy a car! Woo! We just have to find one within the next week or so because summer classes start June 15th. *fingers crossed* I’m especially excited about getting a car because now I’ll always be able to make it to the gym. I haven’t been able to go as much as I’ve wanted because my hubby gets home late from work and is extremely tired and not in the mood for the gym. I don’t blame him at all. He’s got a tough job.
So there’s an update for ya. Still having breathing problems but trying to get passed it.
I’m soooooooooooooo excited!!!!

So just giving you an update. I’m feeling much better today. The doctor had really good news for me. I didn’t have any cysts in my sinuses just a lot of infection but he looked again yesterday and said it’s almost all gone. He said my lungs were definitely weak but he didn’t notice much on the xrays to be worried about. Basically we caught it early enough to kick it in the ass with antibiotics lol. Also, he told me the blood work came back positive for infection so they took a little more yesterday to make sure everything is clearing up. He listened to my lungs again and said I was still wheezing and very congested so I have to keep using the inhaler. I guess the conclusion was that everything stemmed from allergies. So now I’m on Allegra for the rest of my life hahaha.

I never really got better after I was sick back in the end of April. Today I went to the doctor. He listened to my lungs and said they sounded horrible. He gave me a steroid shot right then and there. I also apparently have a severe sinus infection. He said I had a ton of drainage and that the infection most likely moved to my lungs. I had to have chest xrays and a ct done (also right then and there). They also swabbed my throat and nose and took blood! I was freaked out. I’ve never gone to the doctor and had them do all that stuff right away while I was there. He thinks I may have pneumonia. So for now I’m on a nasal spray, an inhaler, and codeine cough syrup to help me sleep. Oh and also allergy meds!
Good lord! No wonder i’ve been so tired! I’m infected all over! lol *sigh*

I’m noticing more and more results in my upper body. It’s amazing! My shoulders, chest, and biceps are looking great! I only wish I would have taken better "before" pictures to compare my current ones with. I can definitely feel it though. My calves are looking great too! Now I just need some achievements in the mid section and thigh areas hehe.
I think maybe I need to work more on my cardio. I’ve been focusing so much on lifting and so little on cardio that I’m wondering how the fat loss is going. I haven’t gotten on a scale in a while. I’ll have to do that soon. Unfortunately we don’t have our own yet so I have to use my in-laws.
As far as my diet goes I’ve been doing great. Better than ever honestly. I get a lot of protein, hardly any fat, and very little bad carbs. I have to say the biggest flaws in my diet are my lack of water intake, my Red Bull Cola (caffeine) addiction, and honestly I’d say that’s it. Though I suppose I could use a little more fiber in my diet.

Yesterday I did chest and triceps. I was doing push downs. I was trying to do 10 more pounds for one set than I would normally do. When I finished that set I immediately got a pain very similar to that of a brain freeze in the left side of my head. I stood there holding my head for a while in agony. The worst of the pain slowly went away and left me with a normal grade headache in the same spot. I still haven’t been able to get rid of the pain. I guess I pushed myself a little too hard. My chest and triceps feel great today though!
I’m supposed to do legs today. I’m worried I won’t be able to get rid of this headache on time or that it will just come back as soon as I start exerting myself. I have a history of migraines but they went completely away when I started working out. This is the first time I’ve even had a headache in weeks!
Ugh.

So good. I’m feeling a major difference in my biceps and forearms after two weeks. Everything feels like it’s tightening up basically. And yay for me! I lost 6 pounds! Not too bad not too bad. I can do better though. I was a bit saddened by my body fat percentage when I found out what it was but it’s not going to do anything but raise my motivation to try harder.
I’ve been under a lot of mental stress lately so I’m sure that doesn’t help with the weight loss at all. I wish I could simplify my life a little more and get the drama starters out of it but unfortunately they are my family. What can I do? *sigh*
