I have probably done more photo shoots in gyms this year than ever. And I must tell you that I have really enjoyed it. It has been a lot of fun. You can see me in the mirror in the left background of this photo of Cassandra Madero…

I will tell you that Cassandra was just ripped for this shoot and she is one real fitness hottie. Anyway here is to next year and more gym shoots! See you in the gym!

As we come up on the end of 2008 I can’t help but look back on the years I have been photographing bodybuilding competitions, both amateur and professional. Certianly you can’t help but ignore the impact of the Olympia and the Arnold, they are in a class and extravaganza all to themselves. Both shows are really something to see in person. But time after time it is the amateur shows that are the most fun and the most real.

One of the last shows of 2008 was the NPC “Excalibur” in Culver City, California. It was a huge show, second only this year to the USA in Las Vegas. Hundreds of competitors came to show what they had. Maybe it was because it was the last show of the season, maybe it was the real new surge in health and fitness, but I have never seen such a huge number of competitiors in such great condition. It was standout!.

So here is a little Christmas gift. I have not been leaking the info about who are the next BodySpace Physiques of the Month in Iron Man Magazine. But I made an exception with the post below about “SuperMaine“. So to be fair and for some fun, here are the next two BodySpacers coming up….

In the very next issue of Iron Man Magazine, on the stands January 1st, you will find “AmySuds“. I thought Amy would make a great Valentines Day choice seeing as how it is actually the February issue and she is a mom of 6, grandma of 1 and has a great and supportive husband who loves what she is doing with fitness and having fun.

Now I don’t anyone just hang around looking pretty, even the girls, so working out is what we did too for her photo shoot…

Next up after Amy for the Iron Man Magazine on the stands February 1st is “TriedNTrue“….

Why is he “TriedNTrue“? Well there is a story to that and his tat’s. But you will have to ask him about it or wait to read about it in the magazine. Nate did try just standing around on the equipment looking pretty too, but I also made him work for his photo shoot…

Anyway that takes us through the next few. Watch for them in Iron Man Magazine and you never know who might be next.

I usually don’t give out the information about who has been selected for the BodySpace Physique of the Month in Iron Man Magazine this far out from publication, but this is special. Not everyone flies in to me in Southern California all the way from Italy for the photo shoot. But when I first suggested that our own BodySpace member "SuperMaine” had the opportunity, he just jumped at it…

And when he got here for the photo shoot, I kept him jumping in the gym too!

You will have to wait a few months to see “SuperMaine” aka Elijah Maine as the BodySpace Physique of the Month in Iron Man Magazine, there are two more BodySpace members ahead of him. Look for him in the April issue on the stands around March 1st. But go on over to his BodySpace and let him know that you will be jumping in the gym for him too.

I guess I will have to give you a sneak preview of the other two members ahead of Elijah, so keep coming back here on my BodySpace and BodyBlog if you "Wanna See More…?"

I have had people fly in to do photo shoots with me before so it was only fitting that our own BodySpace member OldSuperman fly in too for his photo shoot as the BodySpace Physique of the Month in Iron Man Magazine…!

On the stands now, Ed is in the January 2009 issue of Iron Man Magazine.

Watch out for it and go on over to OldSuperman’s BodySpace and tell him you saw him, and now you know OldSuperman can fly, and probably leap a tall building or two is a single bound! Not sure about the speeding bullet thing, you’ll have to ask him…

By the way, he actually had a little help in the flying department.

Yes, I will be at the NPC Excalibur Bodybuilding and Figure Championships tomorrow in Culver City, California. If you have never been to a show and are in the area, this is a good one and always a lot of fun. I guess it is something about being the last show of the season so a lot of people come on out to get on stage. Not me, I will just be walking around with a camera.
