Training girlfriend is becoming aggravating. Any tips.
My girlfriend asked me to train and coach her at the gym to lose weight and tone up. I am all for this and have done 4 trips to the gym. Problem is she does not want to try certain things because she thinks she cant do them. Even the most basic ab routines like swiss ball crunches are to difficult for her. I try to stay motivating for her but inside i feel like she doesnt want to even try. I have tried doing free weights with her to get more interest but she gives no effort or interest there either. Even getting her to do cardio is a chore. Can someone give me some tips or coach me on what I should try.

I was in the same boat. I got her a trainer for a few months to break her in. He pushed her like I have never seen her pushed before. He is a trainer for UFC fighters, so after a cpl months I took back over and she was ready to go.

She is very resistant to trainers. She was offered a free week and turned it down. I guess its aggravating since I am very goal orienited and motivated and she just expects results to happen.

Try reverse psychology. Play it off like you’re totally underestimating her strength.
Maybe start off saying you’d like her to try something then change your mind before you give her a chance and say she’s not ready to do that, "let’s do this instead" and give her something to do like curling 5 lb. weights.
Maybe she’ll want to prove to you that she’s stronger than you expect her to be and she’ll try harder.

I will try a little reverse psychology. I will let you know if it works.

I’d love to hear if it works or not.
