First day of training girlfriend. Women opinions wanted.
My girlfriend asked me to become her trainer at the gym and we started today. She wants to lose 10-15 pds and see her abs again. She weighed in at 130 today and would like to hit her goal by 2009. Today we started with ten minutes of cardio followed by 5 abs movements and then ten minutes of cardio on the tredmill. Any women with suggestions on recommended workouts for her would be wonderful. I am hoping she finds the gym addicting like me and enjoy working for goals like we all do.

My opinion is this…. I always trained with guys from day one - exercise for exercise. Whether it was a friend or boyfriend, I did what they did. It will give her confidence if you get her out on the weight floor with you & teach her what you do. She will quickly start to feel stronger & tighter. She also needs to learn how to eat if she wants to see abs. If you both eat lean protein & veges often & in small portions, she will feel better about herself & you will reap the benefits!

My bf helped spark my love affair with the gym by teaching me free weight bi & triceps. I took it from there. Show her she’s stronger than she thinks…

She has very little control on her diet. Mentally she can not control her cravings. She asks opinions but usually doesnt not use them.

I would much rather her work beside me on the weight floor, but she has yet to catch the fever for it. Right now I do my workout at the military base after work then cater to her needs at Golds in the evening.
