Tried what is called barbell full body twist today and found it great. Put a barbell in a corner or against the wall and twist from right hip to left hip while rotating on your toes to avoid knee damage. I could really feel it in my obliques. Also could really see a bunch of other muscles working in the mirror. I reccomend giving it a try soetime.

My girlfriend asked me to train and coach her at the gym to lose weight and tone up. I am all for this and have done 4 trips to the gym. Problem is she does not want to try certain things because she thinks she cant do them. Even the most basic ab routines like swiss ball crunches are to difficult for her. I try to stay motivating for her but inside i feel like she doesnt want to even try. I have tried doing free weights with her to get more interest but she gives no effort or interest there either. Even getting her to do cardio is a chore. Can someone give me some tips or coach me on what I should try.

Today was our second trip to the gym for her goal of dropping 10-15 pds and getting abs to show. I was proud of her because she work out even after getting over a stomach virus yesterday. She is having trouble with many ab routines because of very little core strength. Is there any excersices I should focus on to build that up?

Today was the last day of my 5 week full body mass workout. One of the guys that I have seen there everyday, doing nothing but bench back and cardio, talked for the first time. I said he has been watching me and that I was one of the very few that lifted at the military base and actually knew what I was doing. Said I should also look into becoming certified as a trainer. I told him all I learned was mostly from reading up in books and on Bodybuilding.com, along with Bodyspace members. Just realy made me feel good about what I was doing. I was also suprisied to hear him say he was almost 55 and benching 400. He realy looked like he was in his late 30s or early 40s. Just wanted to share some good motivation.

My girlfriend asked me to become her trainer at the gym and we started today. She wants to lose 10-15 pds and see her abs again. She weighed in at 130 today and would like to hit her goal by 2009. Today we started with ten minutes of cardio followed by 5 abs movements and then ten minutes of cardio on the tredmill. Any women with suggestions on recommended workouts for her would be wonderful. I am hoping she finds the gym addicting like me and enjoy working for goals like we all do.

Recieved my Omron body fat scale that calculates weight, body fat, visceral fat, bmi, and muscle skelton. Body fat is slightly higher than I thought but only .5%. BMI of 27.5, skeltonal musclue of 41%, and visceral fat(Fat around the organs).
By these numbers I should have to lose 10-14 more pounds to be at 10% body fat. Also for the second straigh workout NOxplode worked great because after 1 and 30 minutes I still felt good to go.

The second use and I went with 1 scoop. Did not get the headaches, but did feel like going on forever. The full body workout still has weights increasing and hit it so hard that I get a lil shaky at the end. Bench max went up for me again today. and did 4 extra things along with 30 mins of cardio of stair-steps, eliptical, treadmill, and 2 minutes of side shuffling on the tread.
Oh yeah, GO SKINS.
