This works great. I can’t believe the pump I had after my workout. My guns had peaks that I haven’t had in a long time.

Ok I am working on a new cardio program for my team to help them when it comes to that last period so they will still have energy. We do plenty of live wrestling in practice which has really helped. But I know I need to hit the anerobic exercises to build their system up for that short burst of energy. Anyone out there have any good w/o I can build into our practice?
The one I have changed is instead of suicides I now have them sprint as fast as they can to the half court line, walk rest the way and do 10 situps/pushups at the end. We do 10 sets of these.
Any other ideas?

Since wrestling has started I have been wrestling with my wrestlers and let me tell you this. Doing 3 (1 minute) periods with different kids for 1 1/2 hours is some kickass cardio for this 43 year old man. My wife has been losing weight and working out too but was getting mad at the rate I was dropping the pounds. I told her it has to be the wrestling so maybe me and her should wrestle more. (big grin)

I work with this guy that gets a kick of calling a few of us the "Fat Boy Club". He is 160# tall and skinny. I tell him over and over again just because he doesn’t have a beer belly or some love handles doesn’t mean he is fat free. So we argue on this all the time. I can tell you this he couldn’t handle a work out I do or a basic cardio routine. Oh the other kicker this "skinny fatfree" coworker smokes like a chimney.
Ok just had to vent a little.

Tired of this upper respitory infection. Hard to take a deep breath, always coughing. Still managing to get some cardio work in with the wrestling team. No weights this week since work and wrestling coaching has me busy from 4am-9pm. I have been coming home from practice and forcing some food intake and straight to bed. Well hopefully the meds help.

SInce I actually started training I have dropped 17 lbs but since I have joined here I have dropped 13lbs. I can feel the energy come back and now when I run my wrestling team I can actually run the whole time with them.
I haven’t got into any huge weight training days yet. I just put together a little circuit workout to get my muscle built back up so no injuries happen. Once my 16 year old son is done with wrestling (end of Feb) He wants to add some muscle and get bigger for football so that is when I get into the heavy weights.
I still need to get photos up here, will try this weekend.

Well I haven’t started the weight program yet but I have changed my eating style and dropped the pop. My ass has been dragging from the caffine withdraw. But w/o starts tonight. I picked up an old friend today to help me get through the workouts until the caffine drag is gone. My friend is Ultimate Orange. I haven’t used this since before it was banned (Glad to see it back on the shelf) so I hope it still gives me the energy it use too back in the day.

My biggest diet problem is kicking my Mountain Dew addiction. I have been a dew addict for many years and I have tried diet and it sucks. The caffine withdraw really sucks. But so far two days and no Dew.

Part of "The Doty Program" is a low carb diet plan. This worked for me before so I will also work with this.
I will be posting some of my favorite recipes here.
