I was about to start a new blog and read this old one.
I actually placed third and was very happy that I reached my goal. Today I am starting day 1 of a 12 week diet for my next show. It's a bigger show so my goal is top 5!!
Wish me luck :)

Just think of the joy you will feel when you finish where you want too. Then all the hard work will have been worth it.

While the beginning to any comprehensive journey seems like the most difficult; handled correctly and with focus, the beginning often times provides the best memories...Try to enjoy every step of the ride, for after the goal is accomplished, the journey is where the memories will reside. Just some hazy thoughts....

I think everything about figure is good, except the heels. I really think bikinis and heels just looks dumb. Just my opinion.

I agree with you posing in heels is preposterous. These contests are all subjective, and the judges from contest to contest are subjective. They must be difficult to compete in. I'd rather compete in a race where the person who finishes first wins.

this is just my opinion, but i'd rather see the 5" heels, jewelry, etc. during figure comps. i agree that beauty (and the like) shouldn't be the deciding factor, and i very much like lean muscularity and symmetry - that combined with a sexy look (i.e., heels and make-up) is what i think figure should be.

to lose that you turn figure into a somewhat less muscular version of female bodybuilding (i.e., 1980 ms. olympia)

Hey gofigure, You've missed the point, dude. The conversation is not about how to put butts in seats at shows, it's about the women being forced to be something other than athletes by having to wear the heels and the jewelry and the false eyelashes. Think Ms. Olympia circa 1980. That's what figure SHOULD be!
