Some progress - Week #2
Monday, August 27th, 2007I continue to have good workouts (30 minutes cardio AM or PM and lifting sessions about 5 times a week). I actually lost 1 pound this week - yeah. I weigh myself in the AM after my run - so what I am seeing is my true lowest weight.
The area I need to get in line is my eating. For the most part I don’t eat extremely badly - but my eating is not as regimented as my workout. I am getting stronger - especially in my legs. However, I know the fat loss is not where it could be. I get about .7g protein per body weight on average. The carbs are way up there though - because I am not strictly monitoring them. I don’t drink sugared drinks, but I don’t cut out the carbs in the diet.
One positive note, my wife told me that it looks like my calves are getting bigger. That has always been a problem area for me. She notices that I walk around with my shirt off more as well. My confidence must be increasing compared to 3 months ago when I was 12 lbs heavier.
I am going to keep chugging at this to see how far I can take it.
