Blog Entry
It’s monday 11/05/2007 just starting the week. Time to get busy today is chest day, but thats not my problem. My problem is legs day, every time i work legs they get sore bad and its hard to do my job with sore legs. So I have turned down my legg routine. I wonder if there is a better way so I can hit them hard and still function the next 3 or 4 days.

check out Animal FLEX, great supplement for joints. Also a great protein shake right after your workout can help some much with recovery . . . also don’t forget about stretching . . . almost as important as exercise itself (before and after).

I know what you mean. I used to hit legs hard once a week and my legs would be sore for days after. I would have to think about the first step or two, or getting up from sitting down. I suggest doing the 5X5 training. If you don’t want to do it fully, just do the leg portion of it. I started a thread of my progess on it. I’m only on the 2nd week.

I know when I started back hitting it hard my legs would hurt for 4-5 days. Many times I was still sore when legs came back around. I can barely work out hard enough to cause any soreness now. I can thrash them to the point I can barely walk out of the gym, and still no soreness. I think you just need to accept it until you have worked past it and your muscles are more accustomed to the workout. I am still gaining size and strength without any of the pain I had before.

I would suggest taking an amino acid drink with you to sip on during legs day, as well as taking a post-workout dose before your post-workout protein shake. This will definitely help - the L-Glutamine helps with muscle recovery soooo much. You WILL notice a difference. Try xtend from scivation, but if your tummy can’t handle the sucralose (like me) you can try LUVEN which uses sugar, which is good for post-workout too.
Let me know how it goes!!
