Renewed respect for the sport
I’ve been a fan of bodybuilding for a long time…but it isn’t until now that I decided to compete and have the first hand experience of prepping, that I fully appreciate what these athletes have to endure while maintaining the balance with the rest of their normal lifestyle… I’m doing novice…I can only imagine what the pros go through…Sheesh!! All for the love of muscle and realizing the height of your potential and then surpassing your own expectations. I’m now down to a little less than 130lbs, but I’ve already started drinking my 4-5L of distilled water per day. The last time I was this light, I was 10 year old with significantly less muscle mass of course…. Training for months, strict dieting, time denied with friends and partying, a monotonous daily routine, and not to mention a substansial financial investment…. My suit alone cost me one month’s rent. I was considering doing another show 2 weeks after my first….but I’d need a one piece…and I couldn’t afford the cost at the moment…winter’s coming up - gotta get those new tires…. Dont even get me started on supplement and grocery costs!! But you know what - I’m loving every minute of it…and I know I was made for this sport…
Cant wait to get on that stage!

Good luck! It is a drain but it’s well worth it once you get on that stage! Have fun!
