"Can't wait to compete again - but first gotta tackle exams. Got my mind set on some A's and then on gaining 5lbs of muscle mass. I have a good idea of my weak points now that I've had an opportunity to see my foundation after being so lean. Thank you"

Ok..so I didnt do back yesterday…I ended up taking a day off to study for my midterm this morning. Anyway, I ended up making it to the gym right after my exam, to do my back workout…..Have you ever had a workout where afterward when you get home you’re too tired to eat/ chew??? That’s how I feel today. I ended up having a veggie and chilli egg white omlet and one slice of weight watchers toast and a small fruit salad….Chewing in itself seemed like a workout.

Anyway, I’ve been doing this drop set routine and the progress I’ve seen from it is phenomenal!!! Even two of the trainers of the gym today commented on how impressed they were with my physique recently….and one girl in the change room (I secretly have a crush on her glutes and legs) gave me props for my intensity and my curviness….I never thought I would see the day where I was happy to be called curvy…Of course she didn’t mean it in the "fat" kind of way…she explained that she thought I was well proportioned and my muscles were full. I’m taking these encounters as an indication that I’m doing something right….and trying not to get it go to my head, as I remind myself that I still have quite a journey ahead. I’m taking it one step at a time with the difference being that I’ve found new motivation and am learning to accept constructive criticism without feeling put down. I’m finally seeing that dream of competing one day becoming a reality in the very near future.

Aside from my problem with symmetry, my next major focus is trying to pinpoint the mistakes I’ve been making with my diet. Who would have thought eating right could be so hard? I seems the things that you think are healthy are not so good for you at all…and quite frankly nutrition can be a bit confusing….considering all the preservatives, hydrogenated stuff, when you should have carbs, starchy carbs, fibrous carbs, slow/ fast absorbing protein, essential amino acids, good fats, when to eat, how much water to drink…..IT’s absolutely insane!!!!!!!!!!! And for a working student who is also a stand in parent to her siblings (my parents live in another country) finding the time to cook nutritious meals can be difficult (especially when you dont know what to make)….Maybe I should see a nutritionist….hmmm…..

Anyway, I’m heading off for another long shower (gotta exfoliate).

Tomorrow is another day for cardio.

Talk to you soon.BYE!

So I just got back from the gym and I feel…….GREAT!!!!! Never mind the fact that I’m bloated and I felt under the weather, fat and unpretty prior to going….I just feel absolutely fantastic at the moment!! Today I worked primarily delts and arms as a secondary. I’m doing this new routine, basically it’s similar exercises to what I was previously doing…the major difference is my volume with regard to sets and reps…. I started off doing 20minutes of cardio on the cybex and burned 400 calories (or so the machine read)….and then I continued with my weight training routine which looks like this :

Side raises, rear raises, front raises, DB shoulder presses, barbell curls and skull crushers, each for 2 sets till failure…working down the rack…I couldnt lift my arms to tie my hair up after - hahaha! The pump was unbelievable. And just after a week of doing this new routine I’m seeing mass and strength gain like woah! I finally finished up with a quick set of ambs (dragonflies) as I always do and stretches. The other great thing about it all is that I can feel the guys at the gym staring out of the corner of their eyes like "holy hell….this chic is extreme." Hey I was checking myself out in the mirror and thinking the same thing! I realize I still have a long way to go in order to be anywhere near the physiques of Valerie Waugaman, Gina Aliotti or Magie Diabolo (all great role models of mine)….but I’m extremly happy with my progress…and as I already said - I FEEL FANTASTIC!!!

The only thing that I’m not too happy is about is my symmetry. I’m a left hander and obviously my left side is my dominant, stronger side…..but I can see the difference in muscularity between my laft and right side. I usually pump out a few more reps on my right side in an attempt to bring my right side up to par….but I dont think it’s working….Maybe it’s my form on that side….hmmm….I dunno. Anyway I’ll ponder that situation later on…right now I’m going to take a long, well deserved shower and relax and revel in this feeling of euphoria - haha!

I cant wait for tomorrow - I’m working BACK!! My favourite!!! :P

Goodnight and Sweet dreams all!
