ONE MOMENT AT A TIME
How you manage the small obstacles in life is kinda what sets you up to overcome the larger ones. Today was a shining example of that when I came face to face with a minor food crisis. I was tempted to abandon going on two weeks of clean eating in exchange for a quickie with greasy spoon take out. The thing to remember, however, is that in every tempting situation there is ALWAYS a way out…it may not feel like it at the very heat of the moment, but trust there is always a way out. It may not be the way you want, but taking that escape will put you back on route with your plans. A moment of quick prayer, a reminder as to why I started what I started , and a quick survey of my fridge contents and I was slowly able to get back on the road. I didn’t eat my 5 meals today, but I did get in two quality homemade ones: (1) fresh green salad with lettuce, avocado, chicken breast, mango, red onion, carrot, cucumber, lemon pepper seasoning & parmesan cheese (2) steamed rice with veggies, chicken breast and liver gravy plus daily fluid intake. It wasn’t a perfect day, but it was a good day because I was able to maintain. And, when I lay down tonight, I know that I’ll be proud for sticking it through. Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Life is good. God bless.
