P90X Update

Been off and on with the workouts. Updates here have obviously been lacking.
When i do complete a workout though, i post it on my youtube channel.  I’ve just gotten lazy with the typing these days.  Sorry everyone!

Completed Chest and Back with Ab Ripper X today.

I killed out 824cals after 1hr and 19mins.
The heart rate monitor was the best investment for me. Next to P90X!

Managed to get through the first 30mins of the video.  Brutal workout.  Once I get my breathing in check with the movements I know I’ll take off from there.

Another great workout today.  Was pretty chewed when I started the workout, but around the 28min 04sec mark I started to come around.

I used 3lbs weights today while doing the reverse grip tricep kickback movement.  5lbs was just too much.

 

Normally with all the other movements (when not requiring lighter weights) 10lbs feels almost too easy (time to upgrade).  My body today is STILL feeling the after quake of my first COMPLETE chest and back workout ..lol.  I love it!

 

Chair dips – completed a total of 2 movements for the first time today.  My wrists were too tweaky.  I need to find another movement to do while Tony and friends are doing this movement.

 

 

That aside….
3 consecutive workouts in since returning from the east coast!  I love it!

I’m going to keep these journal entries short – I upload videos after each and every workout; so if anyone wants to see more; check out my account on youtube.

 

 

Workout today was WICKEDLY    A  W  E  S  O  M  E!!!

I completed 3 FULL Dreya Roll.  I as completely stoked about this.  In the past I would only be able to get my butt up off the ground so far then I’d fall back down.  But today…Today was different!  I fell in my first attempt at getting up, then I hammered back at it.  The outcome today was 3 full rolls.  Next time I will aim for 10!  I know I have it in me!

 

 

Yoga today was hard on the wrists. I stopped that almost before I started. I’m going to look into getting joint support supps.  I’ve got the steam and the drive; I don’t want to lose it due to injuries!

 

That’s it!

I     C R U S H E D  today’s workout!

 

It feels great to be back into the groove of things.  I posted a Vlog over on my youtube site. It captured my pre and post workout.

 

I went to Costco yesterday and picked up a good load of healthy food. I also made a HUGE salad to hold me over for the next couple of days. It’s just nice to have something ready  for you to grab n’ go.   Setting myself up for success.

 

Vacation is still on, but I’m back from my travels. Time to get myself back on track and into the groove of working out.

 

Felt absolutely great to be back!

I’m going to give this workout another go tomorrow.  I was only able to complete half of it today.  My wrists started to tweak and I didn’t have the DVD to workout with. Power killed out here for about 4-5hrs today.  I tried to use the book, but it just wasn’t working for me. I need to see Tony and Friends for the movements.  It’s been far too long since I’ve completed this workout.  So here’s to tomorrow :)   A better workout, a New day!

Kind of cheating a bit today.  I didn’t get much sleep today and I still have another 12hr night ahead of me.  I decided to do Ab Ripper X and crawl off to bed; in hopes of getting a couple more hours of rest.

 

Workout –

I completed all movements today with the exception of Side ups.

Each movement was 15.  I believe in the past I only pushed myself to do 10. So there’s an improvement there.

 

Mason Twists – 20 !!!! That’s the most I’ve done yet!
With my stomach slowly going down in size, this movement is starting to smooth out.

 

 

That’s it for me.  Bed time!

I nailed today’s workout.

 

I even conquered something quite amazing today–  The reverse grip triceps kickback.  Something clicked in me today allowing me to complete this movement in a smooth motion, no jerking or awkward movement.   It’s wonderful!

 

I’m feeling better right now. I want to thank BigPoPaJaYe for his help yesterday.

I had my protein shake before my workout today; I think that made huge difference in how I’m feeling right now.  I’m also consuming another one as I type this out.

With proper eating, and completed workouts, I can’t wait to see the results I’m going to pull in. :)

Decided on this workout today for the simple reason that the less I move around the better I feel lately.

 

I started up with the multivitamins today. Hopefully over the next few days these will have been what my body needed.  Along with consistent eating.  I’ve slacked on my food intake lately.  I’m not a big eater when I’m not feeling up to par. Then again, who is??

 

Anyway, today’s workout was decent.

I’m finding that I’m  improving in all areas.

The hip rockers still need some time to develop a smooth movement, but other than that, it’s all good.

Even the mason movement at the end is starting to even itself out.  I believe my stomach fat is going down because it doesn’t take as much effort to clear my stomach to get to the other side when twisting.
