The easy way out.

Bodybuilding, what does it mean? To average people, its people obsessed with growing, and they may reference steroids. People cant respect somebody that puts countless hours into building a body, they would rather say, "hes on steroids". Because in this world, there is always a easy way out.

But if you ask a bodybuilder what bodybuilding is, he/she will tell you, its a lifestyle, its a sport, and its amazing.

I workout in a YMCA, and its full of youth. On average im the biggest teenager in there, and always, always, im the hardest training person in that gym. I know alot of young guys think im on steroids. Because they see things the way the world has taught them to see, the easy way.

They don’t know, that everyday, I’m putting every bit of strength on the line. They don’t know that i have been through so many workouts, so many sets. so much muscle pain. They see the end result.

But its not about the muscle, sure, muscle is great. I love feeling big. But the workouts, when you lift weight you have never done before, and you see veins popping out of your skin, and you do that weight. And then you say, I DID IT. That’s bodybuilding.

I love seeing people that train the same thing every day in the gym. There is this Asian kid in the gym, and every single day, he is in there in a very tight under-Armour shirt. Doing 40lb EZ bar curls. He has been going about 2 months, and i swear he is smaller than when he started coming. His arms have to be 9 inches, and no matter how much he puts into it he will not grow. I want to say something but its not up to me to tell him what to do.

What I’m trying to say is, just because you want something, doesn’t mean your gonna get it. You have to put work into it, and knowledge into it. Only then, you can fully accept the tasks at hand.

Thanks for reading & God bless!

You are so right. And imagine you live in a small, former communist country where the people still have an old fashioned way of thinking, especially when it’s about a woman, how she should look like or what kind of life she should have. They judge me too, they don’t understand why I do this, why am I not married and have kids, just to live a "normal life".Of course they think I must have been using"something" cause it’s impossible for a woman to look like I do,but the people who know the way I live, eat and train, they respect me and the aren’t jealous.I live this life(the bodybuilder life)cause I want this, nobody forces me to train, diet or compete but I just love it.And I have to do it cause it makes me happy.Sometimes you feel a little left behind and lonely but it’s ok.
I think that everybody should mind his own business when it comes to fitness:if they want just to workout to be healthy and fit it’s ok,if they want to compete it’s also ok,if they want to be big muscle freaks it’s also ok.And if a woman decides to be an athlete instead of being a mom and housewife shouldn’t be a problem. We must fulfill our destiny and our dreams.
