Bodybuilding, what does it mean? To average people, its people obsessed with growing, and they may reference steroids. People cant respect somebody that puts countless hours into building a body, they would rather say, "hes on steroids". Because in this world, there is always a easy way out.
But if you ask a bodybuilder what bodybuilding is, he/she will tell you, its a lifestyle, its a sport, and its amazing.
I workout in a YMCA, and its full of youth. On average im the biggest teenager in there, and always, always, im the hardest training person in that gym. I know alot of young guys think im on steroids. Because they see things the way the world has taught them to see, the easy way.
They don’t know, that everyday, I’m putting every bit of strength on the line. They don’t know that i have been through so many workouts, so many sets. so much muscle pain. They see the end result.
But its not about the muscle, sure, muscle is great. I love feeling big. But the workouts, when you lift weight you have never done before, and you see veins popping out of your skin, and you do that weight. And then you say, I DID IT. That’s bodybuilding.
I love seeing people that train the same thing every day in the gym. There is this Asian kid in the gym, and every single day, he is in there in a very tight under-Armour shirt. Doing 40lb EZ bar curls. He has been going about 2 months, and i swear he is smaller than when he started coming. His arms have to be 9 inches, and no matter how much he puts into it he will not grow. I want to say something but its not up to me to tell him what to do.
What I’m trying to say is, just because you want something, doesn’t mean your gonna get it. You have to put work into it, and knowledge into it. Only then, you can fully accept the tasks at hand.

The past two weeks have been from hell. They have mushed me to my limits for hanging on. They have beaten me down, again and again when i try to have hope. I have alot going on right now, in many aspects of life. I dont really want to get into it, but lets just say its been one of the hardest weeks of my life. (f0r many reasons)
Times like this, remind me. I used to be like this all the time, depressed, or as my workout partner dann described "mopey".
Its time to fight back.
It all started on a leg extension machine. As i stand above it about to commit to the pain of the leg extension machine, i remind myself why im here. I gather up all my emotions and let go, push everything in my life aside, focusing on my lifting. I warmed up with 200 for three sets. I then moved on to 315 (max for the machine). As i lift the maximum weight for the machine for more than 10 reps, i tell myself im strong. And that i will get through anything god throws at me.
I trained on every leg machine at max (or near it) weight.
No matter how weak i get emotionally, i can look at myself in the mirror, flex a arm, and say. DAMN look at this. Look at all i have accomplished! Muscles = hope. And Hope = success.
Im back and better than ever. Gonna try to save for a digital camera. Any donations via my website on my bodyspace would help very much. But im not gonna go around begging. God bless you all.
TRAIN HARD.

During leg day yesterday, i was doing leg presses with heavy weight, and everything felt ok. The style of the leg press is kinda awkward for my back though, and i think i messed up my spine a little bit. It doesn’t hurt today which is a good sign. Im hoping everything returns to normal conditions. I was using weight i could handle (below 500lbs) and i hope that all is well with it. It would really tear me apart if i couldnt train for 2-3 weeks. I will keep everybody updated. Please keep me in prayers everybody!

You know that feeling when you finish a workout and you say to yourself "i did it. I cant believe i survived that." That’ what keeps me going. The rush of blood as you lift what seems impossible to yourself, but you get it off the floor and say to gravity, **** you.
Bodybuilding is so exciting. The brutal workouts where sweat is just dripping off you onto the floor, or the veins popping out of your arms and shoulders. That’s something money cant buy. That’s a feeling nothing can compare to.
Not every workout can measure to that. No matter how motivated you are you will have low energy days. And people that say they don’t, aren’t being truthful. But you do have the control to give it your all.
Don’t forget your goals
One thing i love to do is think about what i want my body to look like while i’m working out. For example, when i’m doing shoulders i love to think of having massive shoulders.
Every rep counts
This is a awesome thought. When your about to finish your set, say to yourself, every rep counts. Do one rep, say it again, and again, and again. Tell your workout partner to say it. Keep it intense and your goals will come faster.
Mind over matter
Your mind is your strongest muscle. Don’t neglect it. Always try to think positive about your body and you will feel great.

Ah, camping. Roasting calorie rich hot dogs over a fire, eating sugary marshmallows, trans fat loaded sausage and burgers, shall i continue? After a few days of camping with my girlfriend and her family its nice to be back home and nice to think about my goals again. So here i am, back on track after a nice pit stop.
Today i wasn’t motivated to lift, but to do a hardcore boxing workout. So i put my plan down, call my workout partner and meet him at the gym. We go into the empty room designated for many things. My friend just bought a new set of punching mitts, and we are both eager to try them out.
My eyes scan the medium sized room to see if anybody here is going to bother me, the only people in here are some skinny teenagers doing cardio. I throw my sparring gloves on and tell him to start.
We start with a simple jab jab cross routine, bringing the speed and intensity up. After two minutes we switch roles and so on and so fourth. We Go through just about every routine we can. We bounce around the room throwing punches at each other as if we were in the ring.
A hour and a half later, were exausted. We look at the window divideing us from the rest of the gym… its foggy. We are sweating so much that we fogged up and window. we joke about it on the way home.
GLAD TO BE BACK! lets sweat like pigs and train like men.
God bless.

Everyday i have to put every once of strength on the line. Every ounce of dedication. Over the past 12 months of training like a madman, i have learned many things….
When i started lifting, i was a out of shape depressed drugged out god rejecting skateboarding teenager who didn’t care about life. When I started, I just could not dedicate myself 100%. I did it because i wanted to look better. But the iron would teach me many of lesions. It would teach me respect, honor, self respect, and much more.
So here’s how i started.
In grade school, i moved around lots and never had the opportunity to connect with other people my age that well. Around grade 6 i started getting bullied and i just could not fit in with anybody. The same year my dad died after having lung cancer for 3 years. I was so lost in the world that i felt i did not belong here. I felt that i could not trust anybody and i hated even thinking of a god existing.
I got depressed, and much more issues came from that. Anxiety, social anxiety, social phobias, and a few other issues. I hated myself and i never left the house. Concrete weights sat, in the shadows of my room. Out of my thoughts. But they were calling my name. I started rolling with the wrong crowd. Started doing things that I’m not proud of. That is.. until my workout partner wanted me to workout with him one day. I decided to.
The next weeks we did light full body workouts. As weeks past i started to gain, and noticed, i feel better. It was the first time i felt good about myself in years. as weeks passed, I was adding weights to the bar. I could sense the power inside my body growing. In February 2008 we started bodybuilding. A Whole new intensity started…….
I learned that nothing is achieved without desire, pain, and commitment. I used to complain about the pain after a workout, but i have now learned, pain is not the enemy. Pain is the weakness leaving the body. Its not about how big my arms are, size is not what makes you a bodybuilder. It is the grueling workouts that push you to the limits that test your inner, and outer strength. It is the workouts that make the bodybuilder
The Iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. It takes outstanding inner strength to defeat depression. Especially at my age. And the reason i have such strong inner strength is because of bodybuilding. Once your body and mind are at their true potential you have the tools to defeat it.

Forget everybody else.
Every time i train, there is people looking at me. If i worried about what i look like, or sound like, to them.. I would not train so hard. I honestly could care less about what i look, or sound like, to them. I’m there for me, myself, and I. I don’t train for them and therefore they do not exist during my sets.
How bad do I want this?
I ask myself that every morning. How bad do i want this and how much work is it going to take to get me there. Enough said.
Every day, there is people training harder!
Dont ever forget, there is people out there training harder. If you can accept that, so be it.
I can lift this weight.
Your body will automatically send messages to your brain when your trying a new heavy weight. But when you do it, you can overcome those messages and learn to block them. Of course always use a spotter when training like that though.
NO PAIN!!
Rocky quote. I have learned to live by this.
Be strong! god bless.
