Went to the show last night. I got to meet several pros in the lobby next the building where I work. Everyone was super cool. I walked right up to Tony Freeman, the eventually winner and chatted with him for a few moments. The dude is just massive in real life, i’ll be posting pictures.

I have never seen so many awesome looking women. I wish I could of made it to the after party but I was beat.

I was walking out of the show and Dexter Jackson was walking alongside me telling me about his Olympia chances. This was just amazing. As I turned the corner I saw Dayana Cadeau who was so nice and cute. Talk about a woman built like a tank!

The biggest disappointment of the night for me was Kim Perez not even placing? Everyone around me was booing after the top three call out. She was far and away amazing and blew everyone else away with her chiseled muscularity. On the pose down you could tell she was tired, but the girl was just robbed.

I came home with a bag full of swag from BB.com which was great. Pictures to follow.

I’m using Scivation x tend during my workouts, it really seems to give me a sustained energy source. The problem is I run out of it so quickly! I miss doing power cleans from back in my high school days so I’ve started to add them on quad day just for fun I suppose.
Workout was

Back Squat - 225 x 10 warm up, 285 x 6, 305 x 6, 325 x 6, 345 x 3

Power Clean from Hip - 3 x 145

Hack Squat - 360 x 6, 380 x 6

ss

Walking lunges - 50lb bar / pace, 60lb bar / pace

Iso Hold leg extensions - 160lb x 20 count x 2 sets

I did a little shoulder work this morning and I’m already feeling jello legs.

Today was deadlifts, the lift that contorts the body to its most unholy look. Veins screaming under stretched flesh. Traps holding onto shoulders like hooks in the back of corpses.

335lbs for sets of 6, real slow, thinking about my hamstrings, my stomach tight and rigid.

I am not the strongest, nor the fastest, or the smartest.

I am tough and I am disciplined. I know that the time spent not improving myself is time that I am sacrificing the gift.

I’m sitting here on my couch drinking my favorite after session shake (whole banana, 1.5 scoops whey, oj, water, ice, little bit of flaxseed, vanilla yogurt). I’m feeling some pain.

Supersets are just my staple these days. I am loving the pump I get, my quads feel like sides of beef. I am walking like a hulking frame. I had to lower myself out of the hack squat machine after my last set, i’ve been shaking for a bit. I ****ing hate training legs, and I love training legs with the same fervor.

Workin with this currently, keeping it fresh

Leg Extensions 4 x 15

Back Squats ss Hack Squats 4 x 8-12

Walking lunges w/ 35s

Leg Extensions 2 sets, drop set starting at 115 down to 55lbs.. 20-30reps

Love the pain

I have to put some new pictures up. I’m afraid I did lose some muscle mass on this cut as many things got in the way of my goal over the course of it. (women, school, more women.. )

Still going well, my hand is still rather injured from an old injury (getting cleated) in a past game, however ramped up training in anticipation for summer has rapidly decreased my body fat as well as over wall weight.

One week left, and then I am going to take a break for a few weeks (spring break) and then return to hard core style of training. I have really become a disciple of Milos Sarcev, who had a great spread in Flex magazine a few issues ago I believe. I think I am going to try his training split (much like my own) after I return from holiday.

Looking really lean and cut, especially in my back.

Cheers
