Over Doin it

Listening to my body Saturday really made me feel like I was over training. My bi’s were so sore and I could barely do my high rep lifts. Today is going to be a nice rest day and I am going to start doing cycling for my cardio until my knee gets back to 100%. I can’t wait till I go back to heavy weights, as I can really feel the gains coming in.

Diet Diet Diet

Always a weak point. I can will myself to get up and go, but I might not be able to resist the cookies on the counter. Gotta get serious on this one. It is hard to maintain when I am not working towards a concrete goal. However I know that there is no reason to over eat and it always makes me feel guilty. Gotta get serious on this one, winter is the growth season..

Back in the Saddle

Got back to it last week, hit a full six day split with the game on saturday. Things are going well, strengh is definetly up as I’m inclining 95s for 10 reps much easier than before.

Deadlifts, man I am falling in love with thee. I love ending with a set of 25-30 reps of 245, talk about pain then next day. Still postponing much of quad and ham work due to my right knee. I miss the squat though. Chondromalacia is what I think it is called. I got a strap that is supposedly for improving knee tracking, I hope it works out. I also got some Chondritin and Glucosamine, hopefully that will help with my wrists which are both only around 60%.

I love the straps, they make everything better. A real goal for me is to start doing pull ups with weight strapped, Troy Avles style! Its getting colder outside, winter is for growth! I need to post some new pics. The new workout is definetly shredding me up like ginsu.

FSU vs. LSU

We lost a close game by 5 points. They just over powered us in the tackling but I think our team fitness is improving. I was watching a show on tiger woods today, and everyone says that his competitive edge comes overwhelmingly from his mental strength rather than his particular skill. I think in the game there were a few things I did not do particularly well, however I think I just need to calm down and stop trying to destroy everything holding the ball. I think I will bow out of our game vs. USF this weekend and focus on training. I am ready to return to the steel after a brief hiatus that feels like ages.
I sustained moderate injuries and I think I will be able to start morning lifting again tomorrow as planned. I have a jammed finger thats a bit blue, however my knee cap is severly swollen (auglitz shalugher someone told me?) so unfortunately no leg work for at least a week or two. Increasing my reps and lowering weight and sets should return me to a more shredded body type. I’m around 202lbs right now as protein intake has bumped my weight up. I am so ready to grow I can taste it. My arms and shoulders need a lot of work, and as always back lags. Tomorrow its back to work.

Brooding..

Decided to be sensible and rest for this week, my forearm is 85% yet my wrists are both still strained. Nothing some tape can’t cure. Rugby training has been pretty intense with this heat lately. We did a lot of sprints on tuesday and I expect to keep it up tonight. LSU this weekend. I’m starting a Haidaresque week 5 on monday, going back to the AM workouts cause lately I keep waking up. I think it is because my body is telling me it wants that steel every morning… Excited for that.
