Seattle To Portland Ride (STP)
I’ve taken the plunge….
In July there is a bike ride that I’ve registered for..and it will be the hardest challenge I have ever attempted. 204 miles …in 2 days…..:) Let’s just say that training has now commenced! My goal right now is to put in as many hours/miles on the stationary bike as I can, until warmer weather allows me out on the road. I need to increase my weight training again…so the whole body is strong.
This is not an unattainable goal….it’s a trainable goal…

That is intense. I wouldn’t make it 5 miles. I rode my bike 2 miles to and fro to work all last year,; rain, sleet, snow, or shine…that was rough. Thank God I am a stay at home Dad now FT. Anyway I hope you win. Just finshing a feat such as that is noteworthy though.

It does sound rather intense, doesn’t it?!! The only winning I plan on doing is FINISHING. I’m sure by the end of each day I will be looking for the massage therapists that will be available! A ride like this has been my goal for a few years …so I’m happy to have finally gotten fit enough to go for it!!

I believe you can do it when you prepare the right way. I know your smart enough to do that too. Keep me informed on how the trainning is going. PSS Get yourself and good road bike.

Hey Bruce,
Yep…I’m training alright….putting in some pretty long hours on the bike…plus trying to get my weight training up to a higher level. I’m way ahead of you with all the gear. I have a great road bike already…:)
