August was a wonderful month for me….and I want to repeat it over and over again.  Well, at least for the next 4 months!!  I managed to drop almost 13 lbs in the last 5 weeks, and it feels SO good. 

Clean eating really, really worked for me, and maybe a little exercising..:)~

I’m actually excited for September to arrive tomorrow.  Why? Because I’m ready to start all over again and see if I can improve upon what I did in August.

Let’s just say my eye is on the prize……

Not sure WHAT I did last week….didn’t lose any weight….BUTTTTT….a week ago I couldn’t slide this cute little skirt comfortably down around my hips.  WELL lo and behold….I slipped it on this weekend and Woo Hoo!! This baby’s got LESS back!!  What a great feeling!!!!  Talk about pumping me up for this week….

New goal for the month of September…10 more lbs are coming off.

This past week was very interesting to say the least! I didn’t quite get in the amount of cardio that I should have, and probably ate a little too much brown rice…:)~.

BUT or that would be THE butt definitely got smaller.  I didn’t lose a single pound this past week but after losing 5 lbs the week before I kind of expected my body to go into some sort of shock.  The biggest change I noticed is how my jeans fit me….kind of baggy and the tummy was definitely tighter….woo hoo!!  That is all the incentive I need to refocus for this next week.  Hey Jul….this is kind of fun!!

Dumbbells….are fun!

I’m feeling just a little pleased with myself tonight…  I made the decision to add to my dumbbell collection!!  I don’t have anything real heavy yet…but I’m working up to it..:)  My goal is to have a small but decent selection of weights to play with by Halloween.  There’s many times in the winter months that I talk myself out of heading to the gym because of the weather, because it’s dark when I get off work…etc.  WELL…no more of that!!  I still enjoy going to the gym, but this is my backup plan so I have no excuses!!

 Eventually, my aim is to set up a great little area in the garage where I can go to do my thing.  This is a start…one little step at a time…

Holy Moly!!!  I’m still rubbing my eyes!  I knew that I had done well this week with my clean eating and exercise, but never imagined that I had lost the amount of weight that I had.  When I stepped on the scale at the gym today …BAM…I was shocked!!  I stepped off to make sure all calibration were correct and then stepped back on and re-weighed myself.  Nope, no mistakes…I was really down 5 lbs. 

So my final stats for the 3 week challenge is a total loss of 10 lbs.  Will I be stopping….HECK NO.!!!  Why would I stop something that has proven to work for me.  I have struggled for months to find the right formula to get fit and lose the weight that stubornly hangs on….this is working for me….I’m keeping it.  :D

Week #3, LMS/BGB Challenge!!!

This past week was fantastic for me!  Even with one cheat meal I managed to lose 3 lbs,  I think I finally got the calorie intake right!  I waited to weigh myself on the gym scales this morning and almost couldn’t believe my eyes…it’s about frickin’ time!!

So…today is starting the final week of Last Man Standing…and I am definitely still standing! I would put myself in the category of being an "easy keeper"….watch me gain weight by just smelling food!! This challenge has been absolutely perfect for me. It has gotten me to focus more closely on my food intake and actually figure out what works for me and I think I’ve actually figured out a daily meal plan that is managable for eating at home or at the office.

Let’s  crank out this next week people…who gets to log the best stats for week 3…I’m hoping it will be me!  :D

Week #2 of Last Man Standing and Baby Got Back Challenges!!

Last Man Standing:    I made it!! Just barely… I started out fairly strong this first week, but struggled with my portion size by the end of the week…I was HUNGRY. The end result of week one…..2 lbs.  I’m not complaining, because having the scale move down makes me happy no matter how much it was.  I feel like I’ve figured this thing out a bit better and I’m looking forward to this next week.  No water retention…keeping it as clean as possible AND watching the portion size.   Weight 180 lbs.

Baby Got Back (BGG):  Now that school is officially done for me….I am ready to ramp this thing up…Cardio everyday.  I’m alternating between low intensity and high each day.  I may even throw in a couple of Daily Doubles…just for fun, of course. :)   I’ve already hit the gym first thing this morning…powercycling,  and lots of weights. Tried to push a few extra reps in each set…and boy am I feeling….Oh yeah…and it feels SO good…ha, ha..

So let’s do this thing my team mates…..Week Two…Ready, Set….GO!

So…after a week of not eating quite right (but not too badly), not enough exercise, and sitting on my ass in meetings all day….I am SO ready to hit the ground running!! LITERALLY. 

The Baby Got Back Challenge has arrived just in time to save me from the mind-numbing week I’ve just been through.  Everyone is going to be about a day ahead of me..BUT:

I’m here

I’m focused

I love a challenge

I need a little help on what is considered clean eating (just give me a list of what I CAN eat)

I’m looking forward to a smaller, tighter, brighter…uh..I mean lighter ass…:)

I’ve already got some darn good muscle on the back, tri’s and ham’s…I just need to drop the fat!!

 

SO….the heat is on my fellow competitor’s…..bring it, baby….BRING IT.  Wooo Hoo…

Stats:  (the only thing that really matters to me right now is my weight….I’ve got the muscles….now I want them to show!!

Weight:  I’ve unfortunately inched back up to 182…grrrrr….that number is going DOWN

Waist:  34"

What else should I post?….maybe some pics in about three weeks.

Ass Over Tea Kettle..

Softball season is just about over for me….and it’s been a good one for our team!!  We finished the regular season 11-1  ..not to shabby, eh?  We’re now into playoffs and have won our first two games and will play the final two on the weekend. Here’s hoping to winning them all.. :D

I’m a catcher on a co-ed team and have worked hard for many years to earn the respect of the males on the team.  They’ve finally learned to get out of my way and let me play my position.  Nothing used to piss me off more than the old guy on the team who pitches for us, always thinking he needed to run to homeplate to catch the incoming balls…BUDDY get the hell out of my way…you’re screwing up the play!!  This past weekend was an awesome game, fast-paced, lots of action! 

So…I’m hanging out on homeplate watching the runner from third coming towards me, I look to the short-stop who has the ball….here the ball comes…and it is freakin’ smokin’!! I make the catch and swing toward the runner who has decided to do a full out slide (feet first).. I make the tag before he touches home plate…WOO HOO…the next thing I know he completely knocked both my feet out from under me, I’m proud to say I STILL hung onto the ball. :D   I’m uninjured, other than a slightly bruised ankle…but ol’ slide-boy…he’ll be nursing some bruised ribs for a few days…ha..ha..!!   There are a few advantages to putting on some extra pounds of muscles!!  I don’t think he was anticipating his actions would land me and my muscles on top….I just picked myself up, dusted off…and walked to the dugout…3 outs, sucker!!

I had a GREAT workout this evening….just a cardio night.  My powercycling instructor ROCKS!  She’s a hardcore cyclist who knows how to get the most out of her group.  Some day I WILL keep up to her.  Tonight was definitely my personal best since climbing back in the saddle…good stuff.  I had a little trouble today eating clean….guess there is always tomorrow… :D

I tried a couple of practice pictures in the mirror by myself. …wow…I suck a posing…ha.  BUT…I actually saw a couple of tiny muscles!!  Maybe I actually will post some pics this weekend. We’ll see…I need to work on getting brave first.
