Two great bodybuilding, figure and bikini events are being held by promoter Jon Lindsay, one in Los Angeles on the 18th of July, and the other in Las Vegas the week after. As of today, there are already 105 competitors in the NPC Los Angeles, and a whopping 410 competitors for the NPC USAs! Yes, 410 competitors with three weeks to go. It is going to be a record breaking show, and I am quite excited to be able to shoot backstage for bodybuilding.com the competitors, as well as other paparazzi and fun pictures.
For more information on both of these events, you can go to www.musclecontest.com
See you there…

Muscle Beach on the weekend is always quite interesting, as it is right on the Venice Boardwalk here in Los Angeles, and there is always something happening. This 4th of July, the 75th anniversary of Muscle Beach will be honored, not only with a bodybuilding, figure and bikini contest, but also will some special guests and awards to be given out.
I will be there, covering the event for bodybuilding.com, and taking lots of pictures of the action as I did for Muscle Beach Memorial Day. We always have fun here on the beach, as various booths will be there, giving out samples. Mark Mason, another bodybuilding.com photographer is coming down from Seattle to check it out, as well as Lonnie Teper, the emcee of the NPC USAs.
Two weeks ago, we were at LT’s NPC Junior California contest, which had over 80 competitors. That was a great show, and I took a ton of pictures for bodybuilding.com there too.
So if you are in Los Angeles on Saturday, come check it out.
As for what to do in the evening, well… I am spending it with family, friends out in Thousand Oaks where around 8:45-9pm, the fireworks will light up the sky! Happy 4th of July everyone!

The 25th NPC Nationals are in Dallas this year, and I will be going! Leaving Friday morning from LAX at 7am, but it should be a great show. Who will win? There are a number of fan favorites, and some that we already know to be in excellent shape, but as we have seen in the past, predictions mean little. But check out the pictures, and after this weekend, there will be quite a few competitors who will give up the amateur status for the coveted IFBB membership!

Welcome - it glares at me. Ok. I feel welcome. Besides Getbig.com, and Hardbody.com, where I spend a lot of time, bodybuilding.com is the other place where we have a lot of fun, for taking pictures, writing reports and posts, and just enjoying the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure.
