Resolution list
So, a couple years ago, thanks to a friend, I have started writing down a new years manifestation list. I suppose its very similiar to a resolutions list. I prefer a new years ‘manifestation’ list because it implies the use of visualization. I believe visualization is necessary to reaching personal goals. So, here are mine. Note for my list, and for your own if you choose to do one, that I am not just throwing things out there; or wishes. I am trying to manifest them, BUT everything is probably going to happen… Its mostly the ones (that you see here) that I strongly ‘feel’ will happen. Also, its not just fitness stuff. Happy new year and be safe!!
-Weigh at least 125
-Squat 200
-Graduate with my masters
-Take and pass my personal training certification
-Have a part time job.
-Get less sleep
-Go to my first UCF football game
God bless~:)

Nic, I know you are a determined woman. If these are the things you want to happen in your life, then they will happen. I wish you all the best life has to offer; love, success, and reaching all your fitness goals!!!
Happy New Year

Relationships are good. They give us an extra dimension.

Get less sleep??? Is that a good thing? Just a part time job? With a masters degree I hope it is a great part time job. I know you’ll be a great personal trainer, and have fun at your UCF game

Less sleep? Nic, sleep is important; just don’t get too little, aye!
Apart from that, you sound like you are going to be very busy, almost like ME! But hey, if it’s what you want, then go for it! "I can do all things through Christ whpo strengthens me". And you WILL!!!

I love squats! Hit that 200 mark but don’t cheat like most people. Gotta go parallel to the floor! Love the list but whats with the less sleep thing? Get that masters and squat that 200! Doing great!

heh
I guess "less sleep" is a hot button. I saw that and was curious, too.
I get too little sleep. Especially for a growing boy (or senior citizen in my case - almost).
Love that you include the visualization factor - so important. I’ve read that often. SEE it happening. Run in through your mind like you’re watching a DVD of you squatting 200. (Go for 205 so you can put the 45s on and then the 35s on an Olympic bar and look truly DIESEL!)
I agree with Mike on the parallel rather than just slight bend of the knees to call it a "squat."
Best wishes with your manifestation list!

Well. sleep is great. I think my body needs about 9 hrs to be ok (bodybuilding). But, often, i do get more than that. Had some really depressed days last yr. When i wasnt TAing, id sleep like 14 hrs a day! That much wasnt good.

Well, wanted to wait a little longer before responding! Did reach 125, but should have been specific (get to 125 and stay there lol). Did make the squat. I will graduate in Dec with the Masters. No job yet. In fact, even with a masters, its going to be hard to impossible to find a job. And thus far, havent found anyone to go to a UCF game with me. But, otherwise-its all good, thanks for asking!
