Blog Entry

Friday, April 27th, 2007

So, this blog is gonna touch a few issues. Ya know its always interesting (as a petite female), how people look at in shape people. As a person who is trying to get into tremendous shape, I can assure you there are ALWAYS areas that can be improved. Whenever I talk about this, particularly to family, i always get something like: "Oh yea, what fat?" or whenever I try to eat healthy, and cheat a small treat they will be like "You cant have that, its too much fat." We as a society have been socialized (along with continuous unhealthy eating)  to make obese now = to overweight, overweight now = normal weight, normal weight= in shape or healthy, slim/slender= thin, and thin= anorexic. Its sad, it really is. People think in shape individuals, or athletic individuals, or people with six packs, or fitness models just have superior genetics. A few do. However, its hard work. People just dont wake up and get a six pack. It takes going to the gym or staying home and doing those exercises which strengthen the abs (with a healthy diet). It takes work. So, i guess I am little uneasy (although people here at BB will totally understand cause people here are trying to improve themselves) because at what point do we get society to stop looking at healthy individuals as ‘rare’ and not possible for most people? I think its really important to not be vain and only go after hot thin people. Thats not my mentality. I dont embrace that. Everyone is unique and great. But, we still should strive to be in the best shape possible for ourselves. Humans are not meant to be out of shape/ obese. Should have more pics updated soon :)

Shake

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Ok. So, I just recently saw work out with Jackie Warner. I saw her morning shake and wanted to try it. I think the ingredients were: Frozen mixed berries, whey protein, liquid aminos, mega green powder, and flaxseed oil if I remember correctly. I am not too familiar with the green powder? I guess organic that helps with energy? So, I need to get a few items before making this one. It would make a good breakfeast. Its looking like a trip to Whole Foods for me.
