Getting in the Groove
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009So things are starting to fall into place. My diet is in check, and I’m enjoying the gym again. The most difficult challenges for me lay ahead, more travel. 3 days in Boston starting tomorrow…a week back in the office, then a grueling 3 week travel period. I’ve been booking my lodging at mostly Sheratons and hotels with fitness clubs. Oh, I didn’t mention that this three week stint is actually 5 different trips…..3 in the DC area…which is basically where I live, but far enough away with traffic that I am staying in the district. A week in Long Island, NY, and finally a week in Huntsville, Al. I need to find a gym in the Beth Paige area that I can DW in…a good friend that has a very strong work ethic will be there with me, so that helps. The DC and AL trips i’ll be rolling solo to. LIke I said, i’ve based my lodging on places that have not just fitness rooms, but clubs, gyms, or memberships to local gyms (minus NY..that is why i need to find one)..
I just need to stay focused on my diet during these weeks….it is so hard, especially when you are in meetings all day..the metabolism crashes and you just want to eat and be lazy…can’t let it happen…won’t let it happen…the fat is dropping off now and my clothes are starting to fit better…which is always a benefit of working out…
