1000 lbs on the Leg Press

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

So today I made my goal on the leg press. 1000 lbs on the leg press. That really made my day. I am so hype over this. This may seem like very light work for some bodybuilders, but for me this was a great feat. I am very proud of myself. Especially since I been training for a year last week and felt like I had no gains. But I did gain strength, and that strength is what will help me acheive more mass. So even though I was not happy after a year, I am happy for the strength I gained. But the 1000 lbs on leg press for me was priceless.

Thursday March 5, 2009. 1 Year Anniversary of Serious Consistent BB Trainin

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

So today is Wednesday March 5. 2009. This day marks 1 year since I went serious and started training consistently 5 days a week, while also dreastically changing my diet to eating more healthier. During the year, I had accomplished a few goals. One of them was losing 20 lbs. My weight went from 175 to 155. This was due to the diet change and the dedication of training. So

903 Reps in 30 Minutes - Calisthenics

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

In case many were wondering how many reps I do within my 30 minute supersetting calisthenic routine. I did the math and to a suprise to myself, it came up to 903 reps.

Here is the breakdown. I usually do them in sets or sessions of 3 back to back 6x with 1 minute rest in between each 3 sets. Then I do the other 3 back to 6x as well. This is what I do in total.

Wide Grip Pullups - 6 x 10 = 60
Pushups 6 x 50 = 300
Reverse Pullups 6 x 18  = 108
Dips 6 x 25 = 150
Chinups 6 x 10 = 60
Reverse Dips 6 x 25 = 150
Then 75 Pushups = 75

Total = 903 Reps

This is what I now do in combination with my weight training. I know it seems intense, but it is what is working me and getting me into shape. I also will be incorporating handstand pushups soon. Somehow i will round it out to 1000 reps in 30 minutes. Hey I will make a movie and name it "1000 - The Non Spartan Movie". - lol . So check out my personal videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/ericito162

Stay tuned Eric

South Beach - Miami FL

Monday, June 9th, 2008

So Sunday June 8, 08, I got to go to South Beach in Miami, Fl. It was very interesting. I got to work on my tan and actually got some color or darker. Already had the color. So on the beach, I really felt good and and no fear of removing my muscle shirt and exposing my chest. I thought I was doing good and felt great….until…..We let me decribe it like this…Im a wienie. Everywhere I turned were the mini Arnolds. Mini but no so mini. So the slowly found my spot in the sand laid down and buried my self under all the sand. Feeling so defeated. So today I woke up at 5 am, went to the hotel so called gym. Trained for an hour and then I jumped in the hotel pool that really was a pool and I sprinted 20 laps. 10 breast stroke and 10 freestyle. Swimming does miracles for the body. So that was my thus far 2 days in Miami….Bienvenido A Miami!

Still at it and Going Strong

Friday, June 6th, 2008

I know I have not written to the blog in over a month, but it has been very busy for me since I travel alot. Overall my now 4 week calis and then 2 weeks of calis/weight combo has been phenominal for me. As some may have seen in my progress shots and my 3 personal videos, that I have had some significant success. Though I have not reached my goal yet, I am very happy with the results thus far. Also, my abs who have been hiding for many years, have begun to make an appearance, and that to me is an outstanding success. So with that being said, keep on the watch to as I do my best to progress even more. BTW: Check out my videos and progress shots on BB or YouTube.

Week 2 - Day 5 - Final Day

Friday, May 16th, 2008

This is the last day of my new routine. 2 weeks of NY Ghetto Style working out. It has been a very intense 2 weeks, but I am convinced the Calisthenics are the best excercises on this planet.  I hopefully will be taking after pictures and hopefully get a video of my routine made to post on utube and to put on my BB space. I had my morning routine, and at noon I will heading to my final day of torture.

Week 2 - Day 3 - The Workout

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Today did’nt go as well as the other days. There are pros and cons to this day. To sum it up, I did’nt complete my full routine today. This was because and teenager that has been watching and admiring my routine over that last week wanted to train with me today. Today of all days, humpday, and its almost the last leg of my 2 weeks….But, how could I say no. Actually I gave him advice a week ago about diet and he listened and lost 7 lbs in a week (great metabolism….dem youths). So I incorporated him into my 30 minutes and it was good. He doesnt do calisthenics so I had to spot him a bit. He loved it and was feeling the flames of his own weight. I cut my routine down, since i usually do circuit with 1 minute rest in between. This was cut to several minutes in between. So of course I didnt leave today with my usual pump that prevents me from getting out of the doors of the gym. I was able to walk out as normal as I walked in. But, in reality, I help a young man, to reach a point that he had never done before and he was so happy. Yes, I ssacrificed my training to help another individual. For that, it was worth it. My 30 minutes were over and he got to stay, but before I walked away, ever so puny..lol, he looked me in the eyes and said "Thank You". That was priceless.

Week 2 - Day 3

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

I know I have not reported since last Wednesday ofter week 1, day 3. But, it has been going well. I have had some significant gains and tremedous power. I have been completing my whole routine with out letup. This works in 2 ways. Since it is continuous like circuit training, it keep me pumped up and by the time im finished I look sooo maxed. My arms have blown up and look good non pumped now. I love the feeilng and the look. On Friday I will be taking pictures and posting them of my crusade. I have also been going at 6-730 am, for legs, abs and cardio. That has helped me to actually want to do legs now. Of course abs is a must. I must say that I am a bit dissapointed over the abs. I have cut my diet to basically chicken breast and sweet potatoes (yams). So visably they dont show, but under that fat, I feel the ripple affect. So we will see how it goes by Friday and you all will know. I want to take picture and videos of my routine and post them. So Friday May 16th, "bolo".

New Routine Day 3 - Calisthenics

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Thus far I feel a massive difference. I actually feel muscle soreness. I love this pain. I have already done my morning portion of legs…ouch, abs and cardio. 1 hr for all. At 12:15-12:45 I will be doing my 3rd day of my new routine. Days 1 and 2 went well. I absolutely love the pump I get after doing my sets. My Chest wants to explode, my back (wings) want to pertude and fly and my arms are so blowed up, that if I stick it with a pin, they might explode. This is what im talkin about. I love this. I have been getting alot of complements form gym peps about my endurance and reps. Its only been 2 days and it going well. We shall see in 2 weeks. Stay tuned.
