Week 2 - Day 5 - Final Day

Friday, May 16th, 2008

This is the last day of my new routine. 2 weeks of NY Ghetto Style working out. It has been a very intense 2 weeks, but I am convinced the Calisthenics are the best excercises on this planet.  I hopefully will be taking after pictures and hopefully get a video of my routine made to post on utube and to put on my BB space. I had my morning routine, and at noon I will heading to my final day of torture.

Week 2 - Day 3 - The Workout

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Today did’nt go as well as the other days. There are pros and cons to this day. To sum it up, I did’nt complete my full routine today. This was because and teenager that has been watching and admiring my routine over that last week wanted to train with me today. Today of all days, humpday, and its almost the last leg of my 2 weeks….But, how could I say no. Actually I gave him advice a week ago about diet and he listened and lost 7 lbs in a week (great metabolism….dem youths). So I incorporated him into my 30 minutes and it was good. He doesnt do calisthenics so I had to spot him a bit. He loved it and was feeling the flames of his own weight. I cut my routine down, since i usually do circuit with 1 minute rest in between. This was cut to several minutes in between. So of course I didnt leave today with my usual pump that prevents me from getting out of the doors of the gym. I was able to walk out as normal as I walked in. But, in reality, I help a young man, to reach a point that he had never done before and he was so happy. Yes, I ssacrificed my training to help another individual. For that, it was worth it. My 30 minutes were over and he got to stay, but before I walked away, ever so puny..lol, he looked me in the eyes and said "Thank You". That was priceless.

Week 2 - Day 3

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

I know I have not reported since last Wednesday ofter week 1, day 3. But, it has been going well. I have had some significant gains and tremedous power. I have been completing my whole routine with out letup. This works in 2 ways. Since it is continuous like circuit training, it keep me pumped up and by the time im finished I look sooo maxed. My arms have blown up and look good non pumped now. I love the feeilng and the look. On Friday I will be taking pictures and posting them of my crusade. I have also been going at 6-730 am, for legs, abs and cardio. That has helped me to actually want to do legs now. Of course abs is a must. I must say that I am a bit dissapointed over the abs. I have cut my diet to basically chicken breast and sweet potatoes (yams). So visably they dont show, but under that fat, I feel the ripple affect. So we will see how it goes by Friday and you all will know. I want to take picture and videos of my routine and post them. So Friday May 16th, "bolo".

New Routine Day 3 - Calisthenics

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Thus far I feel a massive difference. I actually feel muscle soreness. I love this pain. I have already done my morning portion of legs…ouch, abs and cardio. 1 hr for all. At 12:15-12:45 I will be doing my 3rd day of my new routine. Days 1 and 2 went well. I absolutely love the pump I get after doing my sets. My Chest wants to explode, my back (wings) want to pertude and fly and my arms are so blowed up, that if I stick it with a pin, they might explode. This is what im talkin about. I love this. I have been getting alot of complements form gym peps about my endurance and reps. Its only been 2 days and it going well. We shall see in 2 weeks. Stay tuned.

New Workout Routine for 2 weeks

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Today I started a new workout routine. This new routine was inspired to me after going to Venice Beach on 4/27/08. It was not the Muscle Beach portion, but it was the sand box behind the gym. Parallel bars (tall and short), pullup bars, rings and ropes to climb. Now thats what Im talking about. There I was, back in Brooklyn in the kiddie park with all the aparatuses needed to do my Ghetto Style Workout. That was the start to my Calisthenic 2 week training program. For the next 2 weeks I will be doing nothing but pullups, pushups, dips, reverse dips, reverse pullups and chinups. 5-6 sets with varying reps. All done in 30 minutes a weekday. Weekends minimal to off. Each weekday morning, I will go to do legs, abs and cardio using weights since calisthenics is usually an upper body strength technique. So that will be the only weight incorporated part since I dint have 16 flights of stairs to run up and down anymore like in the projects. I’ve posted a before shot for refrence taken on 5/5/08. So, stay tuned and check me out in 2 weeks to see if it was worth the effort. If anything I will have gained some massive endurance.
