Back Home and Getting back on Track

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

So I’m back home and trying to get back in the mix of things.  Unfortunately since returning home, I’ve had some "issues" that have taken much of my time and energy.  I haven’t been able to keep a strict workout schedule or diet for the last 3 weeks and I’m disappointed.  But there’s better days ahead!  I am in the works with hiring a personal trainer suited specially for me and I will be cleaning my diet and preparing for the weeks ahead.  I need to buckle down now that I have taken care of the other "issues" that plagued my return.  Photos and progress will be posted   soon!  Take care ya’ll!

Get BACK ON IT!!!

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

My knees are killing me!  So I decided to play on the intramural B-Ball team for my squadron to help with my cardio but the only thing I’m getting from it is arthritis in my knees and low energy workouts.  Soooooo I have 1 and 1/2 months left in the sandbox and I’m gonna take full advantage of it!  I will start with 2adays again.  0430 and 1900 wil be the workout times!  Abs in the morning and the rest in the evening. I’m looking forward to it and can’t wait to see the results!

Discipline!

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

While out here in the desert I’ve found that my passion for fitness has grown enormously!  But I do have my days where I just don’t feel like working out.  Take yesterday for instance.  I got off work and had a B-Ball game I had to play in.  After the game I stayed and watched others play.  I knew I had to work out but I just didn’t feel like it.  Lately I’ve been taking my Rest days whenever I feel like as long as I work out at least 5 days a week.  I feel that’s wrong though.  I told myself I would be disciplined with my workouts when I got here and so I shall!  I got back to my room and jumped in bed only to get angry  after laying restless.  I got re-dressed and hit the weights and abs for a very good 1 and 1/2 hr workout!  Needless to say I’m sore this morning and loving every second of it!  If any of ya’ll ever get down on yourselves and say that you’ll just workout the next day instead, look at the big picture and focus on the prize!  It’ll pay off in the end!

Ya’ll have a good day,

Sean

Getting back into the mix

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

So I’m not going to lie.  For about 2months prior to my deployment(which I’m on right now) I fell of my diet, training routine, and all around discipline.  I gave into the side which hung out late and went to fast food places and drank beers with friends because I wasn’t going to be back home for a while.  The worst things happened.  All the hard work that I had put into my workouts and myself had been thrown down the drain.  I started to lose the passion I had for the "lift" and didn’t have the ambition to workout anymore.  I remember the 1st day I got to the Desert and I just got done with a workout, went to the bathroom mirror and saw how I looked.  Usually everyone looks bigger after a good workout but I just looked out of shape.  I promised myself that I would use this deployment time to better myself in every aspect of my life and fitness.  For the last 2months I have been a monster.  I have lowered my bodyfat, got my 6-pack back, added some inches, and overall have just continuously done everything I can to make sure I’m disciplined with myself again!  I can honestly say that everytime I come onto this site and see friends working there asses off that it’s motivating!!!  People here make me want to better myself day after day!!!  I just wanted to thank you all for helping me find my love and passion again!

Stealth_Swimmer?

I’m confused about this.  I checked out his profile to read about him, but from reading that and all the comments it seems like this guy has been at it for a while.  Positive comments, negative comments, top inspiration but not one person I’ve seen has him as one.  I’m just confused LOL!  Oh well, it’s whatever :)

To compete or not compete, that is the question…

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

So before I got my tasking letter for deployment I was training to compete in a show.  I bulked up from 185lbs to 210lbs and was making great strides.  But once I found out I was deploying I had to stop what I was doing and prepare all my "stuff" for the moment at hand.  I am now 200lbs even with the thought still going through my head on whether I want to compete.  I really just want to feel great about who I am inside and out and add some inches to my muscles.  i would love to have some kind of career in the fitness industry because it is something that I absolutely love to do and have a passion for.  LOL what I don’t have a passion for is bulking up and shredding down and putting my body through an influx that just puts me at both sides of the spectrum.  I wish I could just add muscle easier by doing it from a lean stand point year round but it seems that if I have any chance to compete and think about winning, I would have to bulk and then shred down like 90% of bodybuilders.  Oy, it’s a tough pill to swallow but I really have an itch to try it out.  Well, I guess I’m just thinking out loud (or on text) but anyways I just wanted to hear ya’lls opinion.  Maybe some others have felt the same way about "maybe" competing?

My Promise and My plea for help

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Soooooo, I’m here in the good ol’ hot desert on the other side of the world, and what better way to pass the time then to WORKOUT!!!  I can honestly say that I found my passion for lifting again after a 3month funk.  I know I’m making progress but I’m so inpatient sometimes!  Oh well.  So here’s my promise.  I’ve never really done abs on a consistent basis, but while I’m here I promise to do them 5x a week or more!  I promise that I will try to add 5lbs of solid muscle by the end of my deployment!  I promise to focus more everyday and push myself far beyond my threshhold!……… But I can’t do it alone.  I need help….  I have searched and searched for a credible trainer.  I have never had one so I don’t know where to even start.  I would love to get in touch with someone who has respectable credentials.  Of course I would have to hire this person when I get back from deployment, but it would really help me out to know that I have someone working with me to better myself.  If anyone knows of a great trainer please let me know and as always, lift hard, smart, and BREAK BOUNDARIES!!!!
