Definately seek medical attention first to make sure you didn't tear it. Then ice it to reduce inflamation and heat to relax the muscle tissue. Good stretching before AND after your workouts will help and so will regular massage. Massage will help to break up adhesions in the muscle tissue that can store toxins in the body and inhibit the mucsles from lengthening and gliding over one another properly. Overall it will help your muscles to stay lengthened and stretched to reduce injury.

A pop could mean a severe pull, a partial tear, or a severe tear. I hope it's not a bad one. I have pulled mine once before but never heard the "pop" you described. That does not sound good either way. Depending on the pain, I am not sure I would wait to see a doc. Good luck. BD

If you can not use your hamstring then its pulled or torn.
I tore mine in football and at first it just felt really tight and hurt, within 30 mins i couldnt walk so my coach rushed to the er because he thought i broke my hip. It took over 3 months for me to recover, just stretch heat and ice it

there are particular diets that use a carb load night or meal as part of an overall plan with low carb meals as the staple of the diet. my current diet, the scivation cut diet uses a carb load meal every 18th meal with all other meals being high lean protein, high healthy fats and low glycemic vegetables. this carb load meal every 18 meals helps keep your body's glycogen stores maintained so it's not a true low carb like atkins. if you are eating carbs normally, you may not want to do a carb loading meal unless you really need those extra carbs.
