Playing tennis…

I have been playing tennis for the last week instead of doing my normal jog and my calorie burn is great (according to my monito) but I am starting to question it. When I run for 25 minutes I burn 400 calories and have a great sweat I am playing tennis for about an hour and burning 600 calories but I don’t feel as burnt as I do when I run. I feel like I am slacking…is that normal?

Tonight is my skating night I generally skate for about an hour and a half and burn about 1000 calories but again I don’t have the tightening feeling that I do when I run. Am I just looking to much into this?

Also, I was following a macro of about 50 protein, 32 carbs and 18 fat at about 2000 calories but for the last few days I have been doing about 46 to 50 carbs 32 protein and 20 and under fat…still around the same in calories 1800 to 2200 but I feel like I am slacking…is this just a hump to get over and I need to stop worrying myself about. Having a few higher carb days is not going to put the weight back on me right…

I had a great weekend as far as taking food with me or eating before I went to my outings but because I sort of slept in I did not get in my full amount of calories (I think)…I am somewhat unsure as to how many calories I should be eating. One calculator says I should be eating at least 2,000 calories a day while another says I should be eating 12x my LBM that is a 400 calorie difference. I have pretty much been sticking around 1700 calories and pushing up to 2000 on some days to try and keep my body guessing. I think I am going to keep at it this way for at least a month and see where I end up.

I have lost 4lbs in the last couple of weeks and have been told that it looks like more than that…so I will just keep moving forward.

Another great day in the making…

I feel good today and even though the scale moved ever so slightly I am going into the weekend clean and keeping it that way. I am eating more calories today then the past couple of days to hopefully jump my metabolism and I will not get on the scale again until late next week. My meals are planned out for the day using Fitday and I am getting my water in…keys to success…

Running outside…

Well, yesterday was the first day I decided to take my run outside. WOW, what a difference…I have been running on the treadmill for over a month and almost up to three miles and I barely made two miles outside. The inclines and declines of the street tore me up…such a huge difference. I really need to get that in at least twice a week.

My waist is slimming ever so slightly and I can see a small difference in my face. So it "is" happening slowly but surely.

Eating: I am back on Fitday for my meals and what a difference it makes to see the real numbers to what you have eaten for the day. I have been having a small problem with hitting my 2000 calories a day which seems crazy since I am sure I was eating 3500 plus before…(I know sounds crazy right) Went to lunch today so I have to make adjustments to todays meals…

But it will be worth it…

 

No change in weight…

Well, I am a week shy of a month of eating better and working out and there is no real change on the scale. I have however noticed that my clothes are fitting better and my stomach does not stick out as much as it has been…not being discouraged by the scale and pushing on.

My workouts have been good and I am sore from lighter weights then in the past becasue I am focusing more on my form. I have also slowed my job down in order to go for a longer amount of time.

This weekend we had a family dinner and I took my own food in order to avoid any temptation and while everyone else was eating ice cream and cheesecake…I ate a Yoplait yogurt with a dab of Fat-free cool whip…go me, go me…LOL

I need a exercise that focuses on the inner thighs…I have started a side squat plus I hope the running with also incorporate the inner thighs but I am still looking for something to give them a major burn.

 

 

Carb Cycling

Well, today is my increased carb day. I am suppose to be doing 3:1  but I wanted to wait until Friday to increase my carbs. Beleive me my body was in need. I woke up this morning with a headache so I am sure that I was getting ready to hit carb depletion. So this morning I had a protein shake with frozen strawberries and bananas and I will have a orange for my midday snack and brown rice with lunch and dinner.

After a week of great eating I feel great as well. I haven’t lost any weight but things are fitting better already. I believe that it has to do with the my posture. I think running makes me hold my stomach muscles in as well as makes my back more erect.

Wish me luch thru the weekend as it is always my issue…

Excuses No More…

Well, I have been consistent in working out now that I have a treadmill at home. There are no more excuses…

I come home, cook dinner, give the boys baths, read and do homework with the boys and once they go to bed at 8:30pm it is my time. I am no longer doing the Keto diet I went back to what I know works for me…low-carb high protein. I have a really nice Smithmachine, bench and set of weights as well…I have not been on the scale and I don’t plan on it until the end of the month because I really believe it is the reason that I keep starting and stopping.

Well wish me luck…I will keep you posted.

I have never been one to eat tons of greasy meat like bacon and sausage but I have been doing the Keto diet for five days now. I eat enough to get full but the first couple of days my workouts suffered because of energy loss and headaches. I was finally able to get a run in yesterday and my energy is returning. I have found that the more water I drink the better I feel so I keep it coming. I was also worried about BM but with the help of Benefiber and a couple cups of coffee things are moving along just fine. I was up to 217 when I started with a little help from TOM but today I was 209.0 so something is happening. I really hope this gets things moving again for me because after the first 30lbs or weightloss I have been stuck here for almost six months…

Going to the gym tonight to lift upper body and knock out some cardio.

I am also for some more recipes so if you have some suggestions please advise…

Well, after a week of my BF being down 4% and the scale going up 3lbs I decided to check my BF scale…well the damn gender had been turned to male instead of female and I was right back to 33 plus percent. I would say that I am disappointed but it really didn’t make any sense that I would be down and still as soft as I am.

This week has been off kilter with getting my boys in school and the holiday. I haven’t been to the gym all week and not going to make it until tomorrow because I have a meeting tonight. I know excuses but starting tomorrow I am making a every effort to make it to the gym five days a week with minimum of 30 minute cardio sessions.
